And it's onto the final group- reminder to vote for up to two sides to go through
Group A is still open
As is Group B
And Group C
Africa
Manager: Chris Hughton. Hughton managed the Albion from 2014-19, achieving promotion from the Championship. He also coached Ghana at the 2022 World Cup
Africa were the losing finalists last year and have possibly improved on that with the emergence of Baleba as a top level player and the signing of Minteh. Hughton's men have an outrageous pool of talent to choose from especially in midfield. Hughton may be tempted to play 3 wingers up front as he has plenty of talent in that area.
Star man: Plenty to choose from but I've gone with current starlet Baleba
Goalkeepers: Rami Shaaban
Defenders: Adam El-Abd (Captain), Tariq Lamptey, Leon Balogun, Gaeten Bong, David Adekola, Emeka Ifijiegwa, Adam Chicksen, Zoumana Bakayogo
Midfielders: Yves Bissouma, Enock Mwepu, Carlos Baleba, Abdul Razaq, Samy Chouchrane, Al Bangura, Nzuzi Toko
Forwards: Lloyd Owusu, Simon Adingra, Kazenga Lualua, Percey Tau, Yankuba Minteh, Albert Jarrett, Leroy Lita, Dennis Foreman, Mustapha Carayol, Ade Akinbiyi
Possible starting line up:
Shaaban
Lamptey Balogun El-Abd Bong
Bissouma Mwepu Baleba
Minteh Adingra Lualua
Asia & Oceania
Manager: Maty Ryan (player-manager)
Political turmoil may threaten to derail this sides progress which would be a shame as this is a surprisingly talented squad. Rookie manager may struggle to retain harmony in the squad but if he can he'll be hoping to get the best out of flying winger Kaoru Mitoma. This side have a solid midfield and plenty of options up front but can they stay together long enough to succeed?
Star man: Undoubtedly Mitoma is the key man here. If he plays to his potential then this side could do well
Goalkeepers: Ali Al-Habsi, Maty Ryan, Andy Petterson
Defenders: Zesh Rehman, Paul Reid, Moshe Gariani, Jacob Cohen
Midfielders: Nick Ward, Dave Clarkson, Beram Kayal (Captain), Yasir Kasim, Aaron Mooy, Cameron Peupion, Mahmoud Dahoud
Forwards: Gai Assulin, Chris Wood, Kaoru Mitoma, Alireza Jahanbaksh, Tomer Hemed, Eric Lancelotte
Possible starting line up:
Ryan
Rehman Gariani Cohen Reid
Kayal Mooy Dahoud
Jahanbaksh Hemed Mitoma
Wales
Manager: Nathan Jones (player manager). Jones was caretaker manager for the Albion in 2014.
Jones will bring a talented Welsh side to this tournament. They have quality throughout the squad with a few mavericks alongside some real Albion stalwarts. What they do have is a very balanced squad with plenty of depth and they definitely have goals in them.
Star man: Goal machine Dean Saunders
Goalkeepers: Mark Walton
Defenders: Eric Young, Joel Lynch, Ed Turns, Nathan Jones, Des Tennant
Midfielders: Peter O'Sullivan, Robbie Savage, Andrew Crofts (Captain), John Robinson, Arron Davies, Jordan Davies, Mickey Thomas
Forwards: Dean Saunders, Kurt Nogan, Sam Vokes, Craig Davies, Stuart Fleetwood
Possible startling line up:
Walton
Tennant Young Lynch Jones
O'Sullivan Crofts Savage Robinson
Saunders Nogan
United Ireland B
Manager: Pat Saward. Saward managed the club from 1970-73, achieving promotion to the Second Division in 1972
Saward will have his work cut out with managing this team packed full of fun time charlies. There is some real talent here if you can keep them out of Molly Malones. I don't think any side contains for cult heroes than this one but they'll do well to register more than a few points here.
Star man: Marcos Painter was a hugely consistent full back in the League One winning side of 2011
Goalkeepers: Alan Blayney
Defenders: Colin Hawkins, Marcos Painter, Aaron Hughes, Joe O'Ceurill, Joe Dolan, Paul McCarthy (captain), Joe Kinnear, Glen Rea
Midfielders: Richie Towell, Darragh Ryan, Paddy McCourt, Shane McFaul, Mark Yeates, Paul Armstrong, Dessie Hutchinson, Jayson Molumby, Andrew Moran, George O'Callaghan
Forwards: Leon Best, Aaron Connolly, Graeme Barrett, Mark O'Mahony, Kevin Thornton
Possible starting line up:
Blayney
Hughes Hawkins McCarthy Painter
McCourt O'Callaghan Armstrong Ryan
Best Connolly
