Interesting that a fighter was over the UK at that time. I had thought that overwhelmed by the RAF/USAF, the Nazis were fighting a defensive air war over the continent, as well as the V weopons.
It was a fighter-bomber, part of a renewed "blitzkreig" attack as one of Hitler's "last throw of the dice".

Talking Pictures TV showed a film from 1950 called Sussex Fortnight where Raymond Glendenning was cycling around the area from the Arun Valley to Chichester. Mrs SS worked for Panorama Travel in the 1990s but the shop/office was up Queens Rd on the corner of North Rd
We were social friends with the owner too but reckon he must have bought the business as ongoing.

British United Airways ceased trading in November 1970 and merged with British Caledonian. So we can probably narrow it down to 1970 (Although depends how quickly they revamped their advertising).
