Beadle starts for England U21s. Hinshelwood on the bench - 8 or 9 changes from the harder first game.

Went to the England game with the kids, ended up sitting behind another Albion fan.....we are everywhere!

England were bigger, stronger, faster and more skillful than Azer....a complete mismatch really. Hinsh kept it simple when he came on late, just knocking it around, being available for a pass. Didn't overly exert himself

Yes so many of these international games are just pointless.. Always felt to avoid these should be pre qualyfying rounds for smaller Nations like Azer,Gilbralter etc

A round up of yesterday's games:
  • Mark O'Mahony featured for the ROI U21s in a friendly against Sweden, which his side lost 2-0.
  • Ferguson scored the only goal (and handballed to concede a penalty, which was saved) in the ROI's win over Finland. Andrew Moran was an unused sub.
  • Enciso (and Diego Gomez) started in Paraguay's 2-1 win over Argentina, with Gomez setting up the winning goal. Buonanotte was called up by Argentina but wasn't part of the matchday squad.
  • Estupinan started in Ecuador's 4-0 win over Bolivia and played the full 90, while Sarmiento came off the bench in the 68th minute.
Today, Mitoma starts for Japan against Indonesia. Adingra could feature for the Ivory Coast against Zambia; James Beadle could feature for the England U21s against Spain; Gruda could feature for the Germany U21s against Denmark; Minteh could feature for the Gambia against Comoros; Moder could feature for Poland against Portugal; and Ruairi McConville could make his debut for Northern Ireland against Belarus.
