I don’t (☹️) but why? They pay far more tax than us assuming they pay what they should. What’s the problem apart from envy?

The absolute key to a better society and civilisation is to bridge the gap between the wealthiest and the poorest.

Nobody needs extreme wealth. I have no issue with people being stupidly wealthy, but being unimaginably rich, more often than not, is not right and it's not fair... I'm not saying it should be eradicated, just that they should give more back, while they exist in ways that most of us can only dream of, and that society provides for them - while so many people are in poverty and the country/world is falling apart.

In terms of what?

If it’s “contribute to the nation’s finances” then no, we don’t.

If it’s “fly in the air” then probably.

@crodonilson This thread is off-brand.

Can you get it back on track with something about 1970s bawdy comedies or staple foods in sauce?

If anyone’s ever worked for very wealthy people they give you f*** all extra and want blood for their money. They then won’t pay you on time and wonder why a working class chap is desperate for the money he’s worked for.
In a nutshell they generally don’t give a shit about poor people.
Don’t expect nothing from them and you will be just fine.

I prefer to work for working class people they worry about paying you and make sure all is in order.
That’s my experience anyway.

Well elucidated and agree

Those with little, usually want more.
Those with lots, usually want to keep it.
Human nature in'it?

I give a little to those worse off than me, but only where they aren't able to better themselves due to e.g. being disabled by unavoidable circumstances. I give to some charities and I'm a volunteer guide dog fosterer. But I wouldn't give money to a beggar without understanding how they got into their predicament.

I don't expect the rich to give to the poor, but it's nice when they do (I'm not rich BTW).
Spot on.
