I'd give him the job. No reason not to. Players like him and that's half the battle in these games.

If folk are bed wetting after England go 1-0 down in a match then they are forever bed wetting.
Not wetting the bed, we're losing at home to a side 40 places below us with our worldies out there.
No doubt if we scrape a draw (or better) we'll be as orgasmic as when we scraped a 2 each at Old Trafford.

So who would you bench?

That would need an analysis of who Carsley didn’t pick for the squad.

In this moment, observations. Pickford plays long hootball for club, that’s a fact, data shows Everton play that style more than anyone else. He cannot play an intricate passing game under a high press. Then Stones and Rice are the only reliable defence minded players out there. TAA and Lewis are creatives 60 yards upfield. I’d play another DM next to Rice, and tactically refrain from giving both TB’s licence to play total football in the same moments.

Drop from starting line up? Gordon or Foden.

Palmer has been dogshit. Makes giving him the freedom of Stamford Bridge look even dumber.

I was surprised LFC wanted to sign him, £68m.
Even with the “English tax” that’s crazy for someone who doesn’t seem to do much more than run around a lot

It happens. Most international fans are rational enough not to call for a managerial change every time the opposition of a shot on goal. It's a really fascinating game. Greece are very well organised. Their transitional play has been outstanding. But all the talk has been woe is England like we're the only team that really matters
