Couldn’t see any ratings from yesterdays cracker of a game so here goes;

Verbruggen - 6
Could have done better with Madison’s strike but decent save towards the end to ensure the 3 points were claimed

Veltman - 6
Like Ferdi was roasted for pace a few times in the first half. A calm head when needed 2nd half

Kadioglu - 5.5
Johnson had him on toast first half and positioning defensively wasn’t great. On the plus side looked decent going forward, maybe a midfielder in time?

Dunk - 7
Generally assured showed leadership in the 2nd half with a couple of his trademark back headers to the keeper

Igor - 7
Solid

Baleba - 7.5
Didn’t quite reach the high standards he’s set himself so far this season but still a decent all round performance. Worked v hard

Minteh - 7.5
His best performance since the first couple of games of the season. Looked dangerous going forwards and worked back throughout the game when needed

Mitoma - 8.5
The standout player on the pitch today, was great throughout the match, Porro will be having nightmares for days

Rutter - 8
A goal and an assist, comfortably his best performance since joining from DL

Hinshelwood - 6
Struggled to contain Spurs midfield in the first half, improved in the 2nd half. Needs to work on his dead ball delivery

Welbeck - 7.5
Was disappointed with his miss in the first half but made amends with what turned out to be the winning goal. Superb work rate and a leader on the pitch now

Subs;

Estupinian - 8
Huge impact in the 2nd half pushing Porro back and giving KM the confidence to attack down the flank and through the middle. Would be great to see him sustain the levels we know he is capable of

Wieffer - 7
Was solid, neat and efficient when he came on

Enciso - 6
Didn’t quite have the impact off the bench you would expect from him. Dispossessed a couple of times

Gruda - Not enough game time to rate

FH - 8
Today was a real test of his game management and tactical awareness. Got the subs spot on 2nd half and galvanised the team to turn it around

Verbruggen - 5 : He can’t get much more than that with such a bad capitulation against Maddison. Even if Dunk was blocking his view of the Spud when he shot. Other than that; he was fine.

Veltman - 6 : Bad first half, decent second.

Kadıoğlu - 5 : Wrong tactics from Hürzeler and it made him look very poor defensively even if he attacking forays were sound.

Dunk - 7 : Some good touches and overall, he was above average.

Igor - 7 : Came on and looked good. Most passes in the match from a home player with absurdly high completion rates.

Baleba - 8 : The usual high level he has produced this season but unusually, not in the conversation for MoTM.

Minteh - 7 : A very good game from him. In the second half, he really started to cause Tottenham issues.

Mitoma - 8 : I can’t give him a ‘9’ because he did not score but basically two assists and a great performance.

Rutter - 9 : His determination and sharp shooting were the reasons we won the match. He improves a bit every match. I wonder how good can he get?

Hinshelwood - 5 : Missed a header for goal and failed to stop the attacks coming down our left flank in the first half. Not his day.

Welbeck - : 7 The 1st half fluffs were more than made up for by a terrific match winning finish.

Subs;

Estupinian - 8 : He came on the marked Johnson out the match whilst attacking when possible. He was involved in two of our goals.

Wieffer - 7 : Dropped after being rubbish against Chelsea. He was very solid when he came on and shored the midfield up.

Enciso - 5 : Needs a start. He has been poor this season and showed nothing to suggest he is getting out of his rut. It’s ‘when’ he comes good, not ‘if’, he has a lot of competition to deal with for a starting berth. I’m not sure he is handling this the right way.

Gruda - 3 : Lovely to see him but he looks short of both fitness and experience. He’ll be good next year.

Harsh to rate Gruda on barely 5 mins play HR! 😁

Bit unfair on Welbz not to even get a mark. Thought he was alright.

Difficult game to rate unless you give marks for each half.

I like Rutter, he’s gets better with each game and seems difficult for opponents to handle. Mitoma had a good game. Veltman was intelligent after a shaky first half. Dunk was dependable, Igor was great. Wellbz to.

Hürzeler gets a 9 from me. Okay, he could have started the game better but it’s a good sign that when it’s going horribly wrong he can somehow tweak things and motivate a team to not only do better but win.

Mitoma 9
Rutter 9
Both were outstanding including in the first half when Mitoma destroyed Porro in front of us in the NS.

Verbruggen’s distribution was poor, cracking under a press.

Weiffer 7.5. A cool head when needed, impressive.
Estupinan 8. Back to his best.

Mitoma motm. He was good first half excellent second. I don't think any other player can claim that.

Nice to see estupinian put in a first season estupinian performance. Hopefully that's a sign of things to come and test he's finally back fit, healthy and confident.

The rest it's difficult to give marks to because the difference in performance over the two halves was ridiculous.

A lot of ratings seem to be forgetting the role Ruttner played in their first goal…

The contrast with the ratings given to Bart who made a saves but also made a mistake…

When you watch the Spurs opener, as an Albion team there were several other things that should've/could've happened before the strike.

With such a contrast in halves very difficult
Bart 5 One good save and goal he should have saved
Vedltman 5 Never got near wide player in 1st half. Strange Spurs didnt pursue this line of attack in 2nd half but he was also much better.
Dunk 5 Just doesnt seem as dominant at moment but better with Ignor as doesnt have to defend out wide
Ignor 7 Didnt do much wrong
Ferdi 4 At least he now knows has to get closer to wider player
Baleba 6 His job to stop Spurs central midfielders running in 1st half and didnt. Much better 2nd half when opposition was retreating
Hinch 4 Very poor Game seemed to pass him by.
Mitoma 9 All our attacks came from him
Georgina 7 Outstanding goal but will be expecting a bit more from a £40m player
Welbeck 6 Down 1 because of 1st half miss but very good game
Minteh 4 I know he got the goal and that seemed to give him confidence but was terrible in 1st half

Bart 5 - not his day, should have saved that shot and his distribution was mixed.

Veltman 6 - had massive problems in the first half, even more so than Ferdi on the left, but improved a lot in the second half.
Dunk 8 - he had a generally good (but not perfect) day at the job and in the second half he was a giant.
Igor 7 - shaky first half and he's a bit everywhere and nowhere at times, but his comfort on the ball eventually helped us gain control over the game.
Ferdi 5 - low self confidence at the moment makes him insecure and indecisve and that causes problems. He's clearly a good footballer though and all the problems are in his head.

Hinshelwood 7 - allowed the overrated Kulusevski way too much influence on the first half but as in virtually every game, Jack became stronger and stronger as the game went on.
Baleba 8 - he had a bit too much to do in the first half but did what he could to make us look at least.. alive
Georginio 8 - ok first half, very good second.

Mitoma 8 - a threat for 90 minutes though no one can accuse him of helping Ferdi and Jack too much in defense on that side, which is one of the reason many teams are overloading on that side. Good to see him today, created a lot.
Welbeck 7 - first half is very weak from Welbeck - a 5 at best -, really struggled to make any sort of impact defensively or in attack. Much better in the second and was a huge part in us taking over the game.
Minteh 7 - great to see him score and that will hopefully help him a lot. His League Two-dribbling needs to be sorted one way or another though because it leads to us losing possession too many times.

Pervis 7 - came on and did well in defense and attack. Not exceptional by any means, Spurs got past him a few times and he didn't contribute with any fantastic crosses or anything of that sort, but he was just generally... good.
Enciso 6 - not exactly ideal coming on as a nr 10 when you're 3-2 up with 20 minutes to go and he struggled against their physicality and desperation.
Wieffer 7 - came on, made simple passes, covered space and helped us shut the game down.

Webster and Gruda played too little to get a rating, but I did consider booking a flight to Brighton to go and slap Gruda for giving possession away for no reason with ninety seconds left in a 3-2 lead.
