This one has been in the diary for two years, this was a Sunday only block, but Sky Sports make their decisions with only a few months out, well after all the machinery is booked to do the work. Unfortunate, but if Sky move everything to a Sunday thats something we cannot anticipate two years out.
This wasn't Sky's decision though.
Had to be moved because of Spurs Europa league game.

Very true, but still outside the timeframe, you can't just shift the engineering work however, the only time I've known it to happen was when we were at Wembley or when Falmer is blocked, like others have said its just one of those things.

Yep.

tbf it's the first time on the rail replacement bus for a while.
There was a period a few seasons ago, where it was every game for a couple of months.

crap pre match with the usual Brighton station / sunday crap
It’s subjective and depends when you leave. I normally have a beer in town and then you’re in the lap of the gods to an extent. Yesterday met some old boys from the Goldstone days in the Swan so left Brighton on the 14.17. Straight on and a seat. Going home stopped for one beer and walked straight on the train and then straight on the bus at Brighton. Probably the easiest journey I’ve ever had.

But anyone coming that usually needs the main line or who had to get beyond Southwick on the way home would have had a mare.

Surely nobody could complain about the Falmer-Brighton post match service, three trains came and went going that way while we were standing on the other platform waiting the 25 minutes between trains
