This season referees are only meant to add on additional time for goals if the restart is delayed by more than 30 seconds (I think that is right, although I'm open to correction).3 goals, umpteen subs, and a bit of time wasting. We'd have been fuming if it was only 4 mins added on.
Yep time for us to get a 4th….and Spurs fans weren’t fuming….most had left3 goals, umpteen subs, and a bit of time wasting. We'd have been fuming if it was only 4 mins added on.
Coote gave them everything first half. Seriously biased and shit top 6 ref. Shouldn’t be forgotten. It should have been more, of course.
But Spurs hadn;t threatened seriously for the second half. They weren't hammering at our door that hard.
And they had a ref that gave them a serious lions share of the 50/50s
Yeah it may have changed, but Arsenal perfected the 2 minute goal celebration, delayed restart a couple of seasons ago.Isn’t there a mindless rule that no matter a goal celebration, only 30 seconds are added?
ssshhhhh3 goals, umpteen subs, and a bit of time wasting. We'd have been fuming if it was only 4 mins added on.
From the start of this season you are allowed 30 seconds to celebrate then the clock starts ticking until restart.Isn’t there a mindless rule that no matter how long a goal celebration, only 30 seconds are added?
No - from this season, referees will only add extra time BEYOND 30 seconds for a goal celebration - Premier League changes for 2024-25: How VAR, handball and offside will be differentIsn’t there a mindless rule that no matter how long a goal celebration, only 30 seconds are added?
Yes - so 4 mins seemed about right - I thought 3 or 4 myself. From the start of this season you are allowed 30 seconds to celebrate then the clock starts ticking until restart.
Yeah true. The commentator said 'probably around four minutes' quite some time before the fourth official notified them that it would be four minutes. So I guess it was about right.
Although he should really have added on a fifth minute for Igor's cramp after the 90th.
For me it was 3mins best scenario, 4mins par and 5mins, obvious Spurs bias. Really pleased that he only played about 30 seconds after the 4mins as I was expecting another couple of minutes because they are Spurs. Contrast with the last match in injury time when the ball was out of play for at least 40% of the time and the ref blew on the exact injury time allocation.Yes - so 4 mins seemed about right - I thought 3 or 4 myself.
