Whatever he said, get it engraved on something quick, never seen a turnaround like it from first to second half

"What we said at half-time was 'it's not about tactics, it's about fighting'." - Georginio

"We have got to give credit to the senior boys who are not in the pitch the likes, of Steely [Jason Steele] and Milner [James Milner] - they told us the bare minimum is we've got to fight. Everyone is together in this." - Welbz

Sounds like Milner and Steele has some harsh words at half time too. Welbeck and Georghino both mentioned that a discussion was has and they decided to fight.

We seemed to drop 10/15 years deeper as I can’t remember them getting in behind once second half.

Estupiñán and the shape change did a lot of the heavy lifting here. Hürzeler won’t be dropping him in a hurry again!
There seemed to be a defensive tweak at half time. Obviously Estupinan but Veltman played a lot higher up and closer to Werner. Werner and the other guy (Johnson?) were a serious threat in the first half…they were nothing in the second. Good tactics.

Agreed.

The Spurs wingers had a free pass in the 1st half as I think Veltman was tucked into a back 3 with Kadıoğlu taking up the positions Mitoma normally does. Hürzeler just got it very wrong. There is only two ways to go after that, try and fix it or stick with your initial wrong formation and player selection and try and front it out. Fab got it right eventually.

Yes I get that Fab, Milner, Steele, Welbeck etc etc may have used their footballing knowledge and nous to get into the minds of others in the dressing room at half time but only one man and one man only can really take credit for today's win...........ME!!! WAS on holiday for Utd win, took my seat for Ipswich and Forest draws. Was at work for both Carabao Cup games. Do you see where I'm going with this???...Now this is the bit where some of you will think I'm a really shit fan but alas I did it for you guys and girls... at 2 nil down I said to my mate and his wife who I've sat with since day 1 at the Amex that I'm going on 55minutes as The wife had offered to pick me up on her way back from shopping at Coledean Lane at 6pm, saving me the shitstorm of a journey back to Buggers Hole on bus replacement and probably not getting home much b4 9pm. My mate will tell you that I said we will score two but not three when I disclosed I was leaving early.
The good news is for you lot is im that much of a bad fan i forgot to check Carabao cup date when booking theatre tickets to See Mrs Doubtfire in London on Oct 30th with the Mrs.
BAD NEWS IS IVE LEARNT MY LESSON AND WILL NEVER LEAVE EARLY AGAIN!

I can vouch for the above; Pilsbury took one for the team and the credit for the turn around belongs to him!

However, rather than never leaving early again, it might be better for the team if he never sets foot in the Amex again!!😉

Myself & Jnr had this discussion on the way home. He thought tactics had been changed, I didn't think they had been much & put it down to the half time chat.
Incidentally if any one of the couple that walked past us in W1G, 5 mins before half time are on here, Jnr wasn't saying to you 'there's still 5 mins to go' he was saying to to me! I think he scared them into staying until after the post match singing. 😂

Ironically after the game Ange looked very Mike Bassett-esque in his interview. I thought he was going to end it with Spurs will be playing four four ...

Definitely a tactical change as well as some stronger words at half time. Rutter was closer to Welbeck in the second half and Estupinan played superbly when coming on whilst Ferdi I think had an injury. The line was slightly deeper than the first half too meaning it was indeed harder for them to get in behind.
