[Albion] We look such a poorly coached team

Your thoughts were being echoed all over social media. I just didn't think we were that bad first half, Spurs were just very good.

They looked sharper, nothing to do with our 'high line' IMO. We had two decent chances and were competitive.

This isn't directed at you personally but you represent a good chunk of our support atm who are overly critical. We have a new manager and new players to bed in and this division looks very competitive this year.
Quite, knee jerks are understandable when your team has been totally outclassed for 45 mims though

I don’t mind holding my hands up but to say we weren’t outplayed in the first half is absolutely insane. Litterally every player, pundit, our manager and the vast majority of the fans know that we were.

We actually had less possession second half than first.
The difference first half to second it losing out on duels. Ferdi seemed to lose out and I was pleased to see him hooked. Definitely not outplayed. They had more of the ball the whole game. We were more clinical with it.

Sorry to say but it’s alarming how poorly coached we look:

Defensively we are all over the place. Runners in behind over and over again.

The press is muddled and ineffective

Players don’t seem to know what they are doing when they get the ball, too many touches too few options.

The new manager has had a whole preseason with them and we look shambolic.

He has some serious work to do and quickly.
I have no interest in this post or the incredibly knee-jerk thread, I just think its important it stays at the top of the thread list so other like minded people can laugh at it.

Just dipping my toes back in…

I think it all came down to how they pressed us. It gave them so much control in the first half hour, then when they were 2-0 up they dropped off, that’s when we had our first half chances.
Second half we were playing way more direct and not giving them the opportunity to press as ruthlessly, something Fab clearly spotted and changed.
I understand people getting frustrated at a terrible half of football, but cmon guys cut the man some slack.

The most curious thing..
The mark of a good coach is know when it needs changing, what needs changing, how to change it, and then to change it.

If we work harder than the opposition then we are more likely to win. Not the best tactical nouse, hard to maintain, and likely to burn defenders out if he continues with the high line. We might get away with it for a while but let’s see. If we are in the top half in the new year I’ll be happy.

This is the modern @pornomagboy Leicester thread.
I started it so would say this but I don’t think so. We have conceded 10 goals in 4 games and have been cut open over and over again. In all those games it could have been more.

Fantastic comeback today, every credit to the manager but we still look all over the place defensively .

You’ve not really said anything we weren’t all saying on the concourse and after timing is tiresome BUT…..football games are 90 minutes not 45.

Fair play for taking it on the chin, sort of.

Normally I’d love laughing at these threads but have to say I always beyond angry at that high line at HT (didn’t post on nsc admittedly) but won’t deny I am baffled by the high line shit after last week.
