Not sure if posted elsewhere, but no trains today between Three Bridges and Lewes/Brighton. Replacement bus hell. Perfect timing seeing as we are playing a London club.

I don't get why they can't plan 'improvement' works for weekends when we're not playing at home.

These are scheduled around a year in advance, Premier League fixtures aren't

I think the better question is why our home games can’t be scheduled for when trains are running rather than the other way round

These works get planned many months in advance. Whereas our home games are at the short term whim of Sky and European competions
We know the weekends when we are at home or away.

The replacement bus is also stopping at all stations.

90 minute journey 3 bridges to brighton.

Deep joy...
For those who are able to*

Driving and parking @ Brighton station is the quickest solution. Left on FT whistle and back home by 7.10 (albeit would sooner have stayed out for a beer or two..!)

Bet the work is planned many months before fixtures are known (even without them being moved 4/5 weeks before they are played. @jackalbion ?
This one has been in the diary for two years, this was a Sunday only block, but Sky Sports make their decisions with only a few months out, well after all the machinery is booked to do the work. Unfortunate, but if Sky move everything to a Sunday thats something anyone can anticipate two years out.
