Sussex but not by the sea
I've done loads, all sorts of travel, sporting, adrenalin stuff, some unprintable dabling stuff..... but the fact there are still loads on my list just shows how big and diverse our world still is. The biggies left:
- Visit Brazil & Argentina
- Drive the Grand Sur
- Brisbane Ashes test
- ski in Canada
- golfing holiday with my sons
- come out of >10km retirement to run a half with my eldest son (that probably needs to be quite soon!!)

My bucket list is nearly done. One more item to be ticked off, and that is booked for 17th November.
Most of my stuff revolves around music and money, I love both. My wishes weren't so much bucket list things as what I wanted to do in my life. I'm pleased to say that, with that final item next month, I have accomplished everything.
I even bought a sporty car for my 50th birthday.

I have been to Cuba twice and the US many times since. It hasn’t been an issue for me. How does it flag up on an Esta?
Same. Went to Cuba about 14 years ago have since travelled to the US loads of times on four separate ESTAs, and at at least half of those would've been on the same passport.

It’s only a problem if you went there after Jan 21

As a working class socialist, I'm also mindful never to discuss "the struggle" in the immigration queue.

I've done that, OK the shark was probably 100 miles away but we were in the same ocean at the same time, it counts.
Mmmmmmm……..as it happens I can claim three things off of other peoples lists, but. I won’t elaborate.

For me:

See Brighton win a cup (and be there)
Drive in a race at Brands Hatch (or anywhere)
See my favourite singer Sam Phillips live in LA
Move to a village like Dibley

TL: DR - Give me some bucket list ideas

I'm currently in the middle of a full on existential crisis (don't want to call it mid-life crisis as that would be admitting that I'm getting old!) and have been thinking about the things I want to do bring some meaning to my life outside of family and work life (I hate my job and and get zero satisfaction from it but it is reasonably well paid and not very demanding).

I'm looking for bucket list ideas of things to do and places to visit with a variety of different levels of cost and effort.

So far I have, in no particular order:
- watch a mountain stage of each of the cycling grand tours
- ride the etape du tour
- visit Cuba
- sky dive
- ride lands end to John o groats
- go to Goodwood festival of speed
- complete a triathlon
- have a flight in a helicopter
I am in a similar boat to you and have just done one of mine, which is same as one of yours, (if a little less strenuous), I have just driven from Lands End to JohnOGroats in my camper van, exploring the Yorkshire Dales, Lakes, Cairngorms on the way, taking the ferry to Orkney and cruising down the west coast, Skye, Glencoe etc on way back. Have just crossed the pennines and in Barnard Castle right now, aiming for the Amex tomorrow afternoon and back home to Cornwall on Monday.

It has been absolutely fantasic, loved every minute of exploring the far reaches of our country. Do it!

Bloody Trump! Havana is on my list and if that then bugger USA trips up, damn. The wife is going to get it now, I asked for Cuba for our honeymoon 30 years ago and she said no!
I don’t want to make you feel worse but I went to Varadaro and Havana in 1993, very small selection of food and drink, no water sports on the beach, no all inclusive hotels, poor travel infrastructure, no nightclubs, very few bars, no Americans, no one trying to sell you timeshares or trying to rip you off in any way.

It was feckin paradise. I’ve declined any opportunity to go back as I feel it would spoil the memory of my first trip.

Damn. That was the twin holiday I wanted! I am going for a cry now.

I have mine laying around somewhere... can only remember a few from the top of my head:

- Never visit the city of Borås (I mixed up Borås and Båstad when I was young; in reality I have nothing against Borås but it is what it is)
- Eat human flesh
- Visit Japan
- Watch a woman masturbate in a bed while I sit in a comfortable chair eating a knäckebröd with thinly sliced cheese and equally thinly sliced cucumber
- Kill someone
- Hug some sort of deer-animal
2, 3, 4 and 5 could be easily combined.
