The Fatherland
I did a bucket list golf trip earlier this year with mates staying in St Andrews and playing the Old Course, Kingsbarns and some others. It was a brilliant week and I'd do it all over again!
Did you eat in the 18th Hole restaurant? It got a right hammering from Jay Rayner last week.

Moving to Canada to finally be full time with my other half. Waiting for my visa to be accepted. Of course all of this could be avoided with a marriage, but I want that to be our own terms and not to force an immigration. Beyond that, just to settle into a comfortable life.

Oh and to win the lottery and have loads of money.
Which part of Canada? I missed a trick coming back from Vancouver after 4 years. What was I thinking? ???

'things to do asap just in case' is my strategy
Mmmmm.....

I am always busy, even if doing nothing spectacular, so I never regret the passing of a day.

Also my autism means that too much newness causes anxiety. How I managed the Ajax trip last year is a mystery. I have @Hugo Rune and @Bozza to thank for that. Truth be told I heaved a massive sigh of relief when I got back home. But would I do it again. f*** yeah! Hopefully the next biggie will be an Albion cup final (win). We know exactly what pub to go to for pre match jollity this time. A private booth for lunch. OK, a private hut. :lolol:

Sunday at WHL looks promising.
I can see us getting a fought point couple of points - doing a Jack the Ripper tour first to soak up the East End atmosphere before the 8pm kick off! I’m going with this girl I met online; she looks almost identical to a model I like. She’s sorted the tickets even though she said it’s sold out, she has a friend in Nigeria with contacts because he’s actually royalty - and I sent him the money.

As part of my retirement planning I’ve 175 items on my bucket list - some will be easy others expensive. here are some
- cappedocia balloon trip
- visit Dracula castle
- photo at all Scotland distilleries and own a bottle (this is hard as there is 144 of them and I thought it was only 60!)
- go to every capital city in Europe (moscow, Minsk and Kyiv ain’t looking good
- give a 100% tip
- watch sun rise on a beach
- go to Up Halia festival (Viking in Shetland)
- go to big tension football matches (galatassary vs fernabace / Sevilla vs real betis/ Celtic vs rangers / zamalk vs al alhy / river plate vs boca juniors / Mansfield vs chesterfield (back to miners strike)
- test match at Eden Gardens
- go a TED talk
- go to running of bulls at Pamplona
- go to La Tomantino (tomato throwing festival)
- go a silent disco
- drink at least 3 , 35 year old whiskies
- see the northern lights
- do another degree

Let's meet up outside Upton Park round 6.45. I think South Kensington tube is the nearest. Jubilee line. Could be emotional.

We did St Andrews, old, jubilee and Eden, then Carnoustie, finishing at Crieff

actually broke 80 at Carnoustie!

just come back from st Omer, le Touquet, hardelot. ( played les dunes in 45 mph winds and lashing winds and battled through)

Excluding the “learn a load of foreign languages”, that’s an aspiration/chore, instead just instantly joyous stuff.

- Revisit New England.
- US road trip including San Francisco, Yosemite and Yellowstone.
- Visit NZ.
- A Sparks gig.
- A The Cure gig.
- Iceland
- See the Northern Lights.
- Skiing, I‘ve been fortunate to have been to many countries/villages. I want to add Arosa, Serfaus, Saalbach, Beaver Creek, Warth, Damuls.
- A summer stay in the Lauterbrunnen Valley.
- Climb Mont Blanc.

Nicely done! We did Old, Jubilee, Dukes and Kingsbarns - wanted Carnoustie but couldn't fit it into the schedule. Next time! Mid to high 80's for me everywhere off 12, I was a little out of sorts. Have Le Touquet next July for Captains Away Break and looking forward to it...

I'm fast approaching 70 so running out of time.

Ashes match in Australia
Travel on the Indian hill railway
Do the San Siro/La Scala double (or whatever replaces the SS)
Visit the Met opera
Walk the Camino de Santiago
Visit all of London Underground stations
Do the 92

(I'm well over halfway on both the last two)
