Waited from 8:30am, clicked BUY at 9am, selected the seats only to realise they weren’t available. Selected 3 different seats then realised they weren’t available either. At about 9:05am realised there was a “Select Best Available” option, clicked on that and there was one left and then I couldn’t buy that either. Can someone please explain what I did wrong because I’m pretty disappointed that I’ve gone to all the effort of buying MyAlbion+ to get tickets for this specific fixture and now we’ve all missed out.

Where tickets for an away game are likely to sell out within minutes of going on sale to your tier, "select best available" is your best bet. FWIW I found out the hard way, too!

I wouldn't despair, though, you'll be eligible to buy any tickets that become available between now and matchday and there are always a few that pop up.

"Best Available" is always the way to go if you suspect demand is going to exceed supply when your window opens.

It auto-selects seats for you and quickly reserves them for you to complete the purchse.

If you manually select seats, and you need more than one, then there is a very real chance that someone else selects at least one of the same seats as you and clicks/taps the "Buy" button before you do, thereby reserving the seats.

If that happens you really are struggling as you need to deselect the seats and try and find some alternative seats, all the while other fans are selecting the same seats and trying to get to the "Buy" button first.

Sorry you missed out, "Best Available" has been discussed quite widely on here as a hack to try and ensure you get lucky.

Thanks for advice and sympathy, I realised too late what was happening and obviously won’t make the same mistake again.
Like I said, you'll probably get another chance to buy a ticket closer to matchday so provided you're able to leave it late just keep an eye on the tickets page and/or this thread.

I'd watch the ticket website like a hawk on Tuesday 22nd October. I suspect that is when a few more will be released. That date isn't set in stone but is normally the timeframe for when whatever tickets left seem to go on sale.

Seconded that best available is always the way forward when time is of the essence. Once they are in the "basket" the tickets are yours.

Best seats available is always the way to go. but it's still a lottery.

Might have already been said but the website actually goes live at 8.59 - I was on then and plenty available. Checked again once purchased at 9 and nearly all gone.

Aware not massively helpful this time but worth noting for next.

True but among c25k people we have sold 2400. We may well sell the other 500 but that's a close run thing rather than a cast iron certainty.
hopefully you agree it was a cast iron certainty now ? - its sold out with over a month to the game

Having been in T1 for this one I had to wait till Saturday to get them as there was a possibility Mrs GB would be away that day. I've been rewarded with a lovely seat midway up the block nearest the goal. Which is nowhere near where my mates are,
You'll be near me which is ample consolation

Just far enough away from LDC

I was awaiting your post. Yes well done. It was just such a shame you rowed back slightly from 100% confidence by using the words 'close to' other wise you could have been right, smug and triumphant all at the same time rather than just the last 2

Why oh why does our ticket office put the bad seats on sale to tier 1 points holders. Surely your loyalty should get you to choose AL6.
It's not like it wasn't going to sell out???

I'm in the top tier for tickets and can't stand watching football from right behind the goal.

Has Liverpool really got any bad seats now, hardly standing behind a roof support at Everton
