How many times did he say ‘my journey from the fourth tier of the Swedish Leagues to the last 8 of the Champions League’?
He must have collaborated with his agent for minutes on that ‘sound bite’ to sum up his career/ cv executive summary.
Nice jumper Graham!

You missed out “… past the group stage”.

If his dad was a toolmaker and mum in the NHS, the story would be complete.

All the time Tony is at the helm, Potter will never be an Albion employee.
He will be no good at a top 6 club, as he needs time for his 'style' to be learnt and they will never give that.
If you had enough money and never had to work again, would you ?
I certainly wouldn't.

That sounds exactly like the strapline to some crappy book. You don't suppose... 🤔

Brighton factually.....
Hmmmmmmmmmmm.......

What a sanctimonious tw@t , trying to take credit for the signings talking about the pathway at the club, yes he was part of that section for the first team, but that was the clubs project and idea from under 7s through to the first team. His reluctance to play certain players on that list and not on that list at times like Pascal, aaaaarrrgggh I hate him

Quick to blame Chelsea’s recruitment and transfer department though for his failures at Stamford Bridge though - hang on … wasn’t the highly recommended Winstanley supposed to possess TB’s trade secrets

I see you’re repeatedly putting the boot in on Potter on this thread whilst simultaneously having strong opinions about NSC “abuse” on the Webster thread.

Hypocrite.

Well I thought everything was going well at Brighton at the beginning of 22/23 - we’d beaten Man U, WHU, Leeds, Leicester and drawn at Newcastle - if I remember rightly, before games were suspended when HRH, QE2 died, and GP left, we were 4th in the League.

The fans were happy, the Club was happy so what was wrong?

If Potter didn’t go to Chelsea because he was seeking the mega wages and fame of managing a high profile big 6 club like Chelsea, then why the fcuk did he leave?
I think the lesson is give him two years and six world class midfielders and he’ll do ok.

Christ, he is such a twat these days. I know he only went on to put himself in the shop window but tone it down a bit Graham. The black turtleneck, hand gestures and business style buzzwords make me want to vomit.
It is a bit cringe. He wanted to 'connect' with his family. It's everday life mate not linkedin ffs

Why go to college to study emotional intelligence? Because....you don't have any.

There was one magical moment yesterday when they asked Potter to explain a bit of play.

"Graham.

......."

"Well, something something passed the ball on to a team mate and opened up the spaces......"

(Sound of a runner stirring tea in a tin mug......a flock of birds taking off nearby...sweat trickles down the back of the neck of the anchor....)

"Yes, and, Graham?............"

(Cara interjects with some analysis while Potter looks into the middle distance, unmoved and unaware that he has just broken Sky Sports)

Those signings (TB, not GP for the most part we can assume) - and they've missed off Mac Allister..

As I predicted last week, as soon as soon as that Athletic interview dropped that coincides with his gardening leave I expected him to start doing the media rounds.

As much as I’m still annoyed in the manner of how everything went down with his and many other associated departures I thought he came across well, was able to go on beyond the standard tactical analysis and gave a good account of himself.

He seemed comfortable and dare I say appendix A for a couple of job applications has been achieved.

Ah, you really don’t like him …
there are indeed some loud people who like to compete to see who hates him the most, and take every opportunity to point out just how much they hate him.

It's not universal though, he was very good for us and stayed longer than most managers stay in a job. It just really hurt when he left because we were doing so well at the time - even though it was becoming inevitable it would happen - and a lot of people won't ever get over that. Probably understandable.
