I am not saying Selhurst is a better stadium although I personally love it, the thought of moving away from the place it is now fills me with terror, it’s in the heart of the community easily assessable for busses and 3 mainline railway stations, it’s my history and the clubs.

Now I am fully aware that the Goldstone was sold under your feet and there was not much you could do about it, but how many of you would still love to play there in a re- vamped stadium??

For many younger fans of not only palace but other teams who don’t know the history, for many the AMEX is an out of town hard to get to ground.

And just a quick reminder back before the premier league there was a competition called the football league , palace have finished the 22 team league in 3rd and 10th ( 10th being top half)
That 3rd place finish doesnt count apparently, or at least it didnt last time I raised it. Of course, but for the weak willed FA who caved in and let Liverpool back in, we would have had our own European tour, although we probably wouldnt have had 4 games, as it was straight knockout those days. What might have been...

Is it necessary to post that? A Palace fan died as an indirect result of this incident, and the animosity between the 2 clubs fans it caused.
RIP Paul Nixon
Sorry Dan, can’t say I agree with the link at all, it’s been covered on here in quite a bit of detail already

RIP to the fella, no one is mocking his death to be absolutely clear

Hate to say all the players that Glasner has bought in are not convincing me they are any better than what we already had.

Kamala who was meant to be a top player looks far from it. And we are far to open in defending, playing wing backs so far up the pitch leaves massive gaps.

Palace have only recorded 1 win in 17 games against Everton and they have been gasher than us most of that time.

How many games do you think:

a. He should get, and

b. He will get

before the ol' tin tack?

Well if it doesn’t improve 3 or 4 months.

The thing is palace are not playing that badly but the system ,wing backs playing high up, 2 defensive midfielders in no where land and strikers playing on the wing, yes give it a go for a game or two but it’s been found out but the system and players are staying the same, we can all see but Glasner sticks with it.

Don’t get me wrong I hope it does all click, but I feel uneasy that with Roy’s players he looked a good manager now he has his players in the team we look very vulnerable.

Time will tell it’s only 6 matches in TBF.

Palace have a recent history of not giving managers time, FDB, Patrick Vierra were gone far to quickly, PV (IIRC) just after a very hard run and before a much easier run of games which Roy did very well with. Doesn't bode well for him Im afraid,

If he does go-who is available?

To be fair, I think most of us feel the same way about our boys right now.

Palace could easily have several more points (+4?) from their performances so far according to xG for/against analysis..

Whilst I don't want to give solace to a Palace fan, new signings rarely hit the ground running. It usually takes a few months to get going and show their value regardless of their transfer fee and experience. Of all the succesful signings we've made over the last few years, there's few I can think of that were instantly at home as starting 11 players in the PL - Cucurella, Estupinan and Pedro off the top of my head.

and if my grandmother had wheels........

xG is meaningless when it comes to league position-the ONLY stat that counts are the points you actually gain not the hypothetical ones you may have got. it matters not one bit if you have an xG of 5 per game if you dont put them in the net, whilst keeping fewer balls per match out of yours
