So people are picking up on Webster's poor passes (2 maybe 3) name me a player who didn't do similar. Webster had a good game today some mistakes and some very good challenges.
Agreed.
Moder put us in danger once we were 1-0 up holding on to the ball to long, panicking and playing into an empty space and it’s not even mentioned.

Fabulous performance. Two rogue passes in the first half, the sort of thing our fans turn a blind eye to when it's Dunk but not when it's Webster. A funny bunch.

Well done Adam
Seem to have turned a blind eye to a couple of Adingras absolutely witless crosses when he was in acres of space, not to mention his powderpuff shot at the near post when he had Pedro and (I think) Danny flying in in front of goal.

He's received lots of abuse on Twitter and has in turn deleted his Twitter account.

I feel bad for him. He's not up to the level we're at anymore, but he has been a great servant to the club - and does not deserve any abuse he's getting.
Thats very harsh.

The mistake leading to 1-1 was really bad but other than that he was Paolo Maldini compared to the lads on the left side of defence.

He made a bad mistake, but remains great cover.
Twitter/X is poison and he’s better off it…..

I saw plenty of other errors yesterday that weren’t punished.

It is annoying that Webster seems to have a “once every few matches” ricket in him, he does so much well. If he could keep healthy and eradicate that sporadic but persistent error, he’d be genuinely challenging for starts.

I only watched the highlights and if it wasn’t for Adam Webster Chelsea would have definitely scored more.

I noticed some young bellend on Twitter that Webster was the worst player he had seen playing for the Albion, doubt if he’s seen many games then

He had a shocker and we looked miles better at the back when Igor, of all people, came on and allowed Dunk to play RCB.

But he wasn’t even our worst defender over the course of the whole game and abusing him on social media is moronic. Not likely to get his confidence back, is it?

From Brighton fans? Ridiculous. To say someone had a bad game is one thing, to seek out a player from your own team to abuse him after a poor game is just f***ing wrong. This is not how you support your team. Some people need to give their head a wobble.
We don’t abuse players on NSC admittedly but read some of the post-match threads on NSC over the years - not sure we have the high moral ground here when it comes to singling out players and scapegoating them in a way that has gone much further than just saying they’ve had a bad day at the office ☹️

Such a shame how it's worked out for him as I had him down as being on the verge of an England call up owing to his form over covid, he was absolutely sensational over that period. I think injuries have unfortunately got the best of him and I don't think he'll consistently get back to that level, but he's not 'useless' by any stretch, and I have no doubt whatsoever that he is doing all he can when he pulls on the stripes.

He doesn't deserve abuse, especially from our own supporters-- there is a real toxic minority of our 'fans', most of them hiding behind fake names and profile pics of players on Twitter unfortunately. He was absolutely not the only one that made mistakes yesterday, and he recovered well from his ricket. In fact, I'm struggling to think of anyone that could've come off the pitch yesterday thinking they couldn't have done any more.
