The way I saw it was as follows:
  1. Ref gives a thrown in instead of a second yellow
  2. Fab goes MENTAL at the 4th official
  3. 4th official tells the ref to have a think
  4. Ref gives second yellow card
  5. Nuno goes MENTAL at the 4th official
  6. Both get sent for going MENTAL at the 4th official
I suspect that if the ref does his job in point 1, neither get sent off

In a sense he went mental with his head in his hands in an act of despair but without knowing what was said it is difficult to know if it was worthy of being sent off. Clearly he wasn't being threatening and finger pointing or ranting and raving which is what Nuno was doing.

He's not been charged with using abusive or insulting words like Nuno though.

Perhaps he was red carded for saying 'Anthony, I think that should perhaps be a second yellow'.

Probably a tacit admission from Webb that the red card was a bit OTT

Whilst welcome, how does this work? A red card leads to an automatic suspension. No ifs, no buts.

So, if he's not being suspended, surely the red card must be rescinded? Otherwise it opens up the floodgate for other managers and players to plead that they should be let off suspension for one reason or another.
