So my old man bought some seasoned oak wood planks about 60 years ago, with some wedding gift money apparently. Intention was to make some furniture with it I believe... yet they've moved 3 times and brought it with them each time, stored it well etc and never used it.... (he's a bit of a hoarder my old man). And now he's 86 and wants rid. At timber yard prices it's worth about £1400 he reckons at current prices but obviously 2nd hand would be worth a lot less. I stuck it on FB markeplace and gumtree without many views. Anyone have any ideas as how to sell it? It's really good quality and I'm sure a skilled worksman would love it and it seems such a shame to go to waste but it's one of those things that it's a bit - how the hell do i get rid of this?!
