The first team weren't the only ones to earn a point in the capital today. Albion U-18s drew 2-2 at Spurs with goals from Nehemiah Oriola (his 4th in the space of two games) and Shane Nti (with his second of the season).
Do you have the team sheet for this game please?

Popping good quick crosses into the area of uncertainty - can't be having that! Time to train him to stop, turn round and pass inside do the ball can be re-cycled either to the CBs or to the other wing. You know, like proper football!

1st-year scholar Sebastian Ademola (who is yet to see any Albion U-18 action this season) has been called up to the Norwegian U-17 squad for the Syrenka Cup in Poland starting tomorrow (with matches against Romania, Montenegro and the hosts).

Of course, 1st-year scholars Freddie Simmonds and Harry Howell are on England U-17 duty in Germany.

U-18s forward Joe Belmont (the age of a 2nd-year scholar but with his professional contract already signed) has been called up as an injury replacement for the Welsh U-19 squad who play two matches at the Pinatar Arena in Spain against Turkmenistan on Saturday and Azerbaijan on Monday.

Sebastian Ademola came on as a 90th-minute sub as the Norwegian U-17s drew 1-1 with Romania and then won a penalty shoot-out in the Syrenka Cup in Poland. They face Montenegro on Friday.

Harry Howell scored twice for the England U-17s in a 5-0 win over Mexico. Howell's first was a penalty after he had been fouled (it was the third England goal and all three were penalties, each scored by different players). Howell then curled a left-footed free-kick into the top corner.

Freddie Simmonds came on for the England U-17s in the same match after an hour.

First assist for Jesse Middleton against Spurs on Saturday.

Another local boy is making great headway. Bruno Cina is 16. He only entered the academy system at the end of his u15 season after spells with Steyning, Horsham and Lancing. He’s also played for Sussex Schools. He signed for Colchester initially, but left there and has joined Stockport County in the summer.

He scored 5 in 5 in pre season for the academy before being given the chance to train with the first team squad that includes Ollie Norwood. He had his first taste of action in the EFL Trophy against Blackburn, and has since featured on the bench in the league for the League One leaders.

Sebastian Ademola started for the Norwegian U-17s today and played an hour as they beat hosts Poland 1-0 to win the Syrenka Cup.

Joe Belmont was named as a sub for the Welsh U-19s on Saturday as they drew 2-2 with Turkmenistan at the Pinatar Arena (I haven't been able to find out if he came on or not). However, he started for the side today as they beat Azerbaijan 3-0. He wore no. 17:-

Just seen that 1st-year scholar Darius Lane was called up to the US Men's U-18 side for a tournament in Japan. He started in a 4-3 defeat to Japan one week ago and came on as a sub against Peru on Monday:-

That makes 31 players who were called up for international duty in September.
