I saw them at the Dome in, I think, 77. They must have been really pissed off about something because they played 50 minutes total with no encore.

When you look at setlists from back in the day, it’s incredible how short most gigs were.

I hate that no encores think, so gutting when all the lights come on.

A few All-Canadian (English-only) entries:

Rockin', raunchy anti-Anericanism

Then, when The Guess Who broke up, lead guitarist Randy Bachman formed Bachman-Turner-Overdrive (BTO)

Powerful, epic song, based on real-life tragedy, with lyrics most poetic

Anthemic, 3-for-1 song recounting how the building of our railroad finally bound the country's provinces together, a mari usque ad mare.

Definite rock anthem

Another unforgettable beginning + build-up

You thought that Neil Diamond had written and sung this? No, it was Montréal's own Andy Kim, who was also The Archie's and did, like Neil, write for The Monkees.

This is better

It’s in my dna, hooked to melodies and harmonies, so Reaper still does it for me. Similarly lots of The Who, Stones and Hawkwind tick my boxes, the acceptable side of rock.

(The Hungry Years would’ve been a living hell for me).
