Barber in deciding not to listen to fans feedback and thinking he's right, shockerI posted this in the poll thread but no harm in repeating here.
Direct quote from PBOBE on this:
"As ever, many people have different views. Our job is to maximise the atmosphere pre-match - it appears to be better with GOSBTS in its new place - and also support the players to get off to the best start in matches (and their preference is to play GOSBTS where it now is)."
Isn't he saying the players prefer it?Barber in deciding not to listen to fans feedback and thinking he's right, shocker
Barber in listening to the players preference and realising that polls and posts on NSC don't necessarily make up the opinion of 30 000 people attending shockerBarber in deciding not to listen to fans feedback and thinking he's right, shocker
What next, players who will hand in a transfer request in 6 months time to force a move decides on the colour of the kit, safe standing, the club crest, the content of the matchday programme?Barber in listening to the players preference and realising that polls and posts on NSC don't necessarily make up the opinion of 30 000 people attending shocker
That is a tad harsh, I like Barber and I doubt anyone could have or do his job as well. What next, players who will hand in a transfer request in 6 months time to force a move decides on the colour of the kit, safe standing, the club crest, the content of the matchday programme?
What a load of bollocks. And once again, circumventing the FAB.
Decades of history, all changed because some of the suits who don't even support the Albion want to be more like the North London forever wankfest.
Pathetic.

I don't disagree with you. He's great at his job. But consistently and deliberately shite at consulting with supporters on any decisions which might impact them. That is a tad harsh, I like Barber and I doubt anyone could have or do his job as well.
The atmosphere was absolutely shite on Saturday and again on Wednesday night.Following years of people moaning about the Amex atmosphere, the club try something to improve it , and surprise surprise people immediately complain about it. They haven't binned GOSBS, its been moved by a few mins, and at least now we don't go from the awful Prem League dirge into the match
FFS give it a chance- it may actually work. On Weds it did sound better at the start of the match. Those that were singing were all singing the same song at (roughly) the same time-perhaps that will catch on as well-
The fact that something has been done that way for years does not mean that it is necessarily the best way.
Have you got a link to these Polls? The atmosphere was absolutely shite on Saturday and again on Wednesday night.
The timing of Sussex by the Sea makes sod all difference to the preceeding 90 mins.
Anyway, Whatever, all the polls show about 1 in 5 like it. But we're stuck with it, just because

I like Right Here Right Now as a ramp up song. Cutting the sound to have Richie Reynolds introduce the teams onto the pitch was like a power cut at the Ministry of Sound just before the drop is about to happen. Don’t do it! Speak over the music if need be.
I still think Sussex by the Sea is a ‘walkout song’ akin to Z Cars. The chorus can be sung loudly, but the tempo is wrong for something that Barber and Co want to reverberate around the stadium.
If Sussex by the Sea HAS to stay pre-kick off then I would be in favour of rebooting this as the teams walkout:
Some might find it naff and corny, but it is no worse than ‘Blue is the Colour’, It’s a Grand Old Team’ or ‘Marching on Together’, and most importantly it is our song!
