At least they're singing unlike the miserable old bastards moaningAbsolutely tinpot. Monkey see monkey do, young’uns are singing this without a hint of irony. Embarrassing.

I’m lucky if I end up in the right county for the matchAt least they're singing unlike the miserable old bastards moaning
I left the Amex in a SECAMS ambulance before our game against Fulham last season. It didn’t take me home though.Has anyone ever gone home in a Sussex ambulance?
Funnily enough, I remember some FCUM fans chanting “One song! You’ve only got one song!” to us.This is age old to be honest, any decent atmosphere or singing in unison disappeared along with the North Stand roof.
I remember having a drink with some FC United fans after the 4-0 up at Bury and they were very complimentary about Brighton fans but then one of them piped up “yeah, but you’ve got a tired old songbook”
Don’t think soThey shut up after that.
20 year olds who have only lived the Amex era won’t relate to the dark days. Whilst some older fans can’t quite believe our recent achievements younger fans will see it as the norm.I hadn't thought of that. In that context I like it.
But other than that, folk should remember the rock from which we were hewn.
Ultimately, yes, you are right. And your last sentence is spot-on. I think it's incredibly cringy, but if the choice is to hear that or nothing then "f*** off home" is way better. What a load of bollocks. Want atmosphere? then any chant is good. So what if you old farts don’t like it. We need more of this to get an atmosphere going. Its been shite bar Utd at home, so far this season, because too many fans are too judgy, as this thread proves, and our support are all middle class Dads.
Probably the most stuck up snd infuriating thread in a while. Can’t stand fans slagging our support off, particularly the younger lot. They are the ones who give it a good go and create an atmosphere ffs!!!!
Christ you lot remind me of that weirdo from
NSK who thinks he owns the place and tells people how you act in the terraces, prize ****.
Fwiw that chant is a bit cringe, but aren’t most!?
Sorry, wasn't my intention! hahaI'm feeling attacked here!
Yeah, obviously lolI can think of a few sung that are no longer acceptable, so that is not true.
Yeah do see that at times, but lots do! As much as that is frustrating.Thing is apart form the fe# off chant & the Wembley chant after each goal the younger ones round me hardly made a peep. Not even watching a lot of the time as on their phones.
haha good reply, yeah I know it's not, but threads like this are Dad like.Oi, you cheeky git! No, our support are not all middle class Dads!
I think the chant is shite, this maybe down to some trauma experienced after Wembley (not really trauma, but f**king annoying). We were in a train queue at a different station (as I thought I'd be clever & avoid the main station). It was raining & there were young kids in the queue, it was all we heard! Made worse by the group that pushed past kids in the queue, singing it while they shoved them out of the way.
It should be reserved for Man U only when they come to town.
Yours sincerely
Not a middle class Dad!
Edit to add... It was being sung on the train back to Brighton as well!!!
Agree, but absolutely no way sing that song. Tried in NS once and it caused a few arguments hahaUltimately, yes, you are right. And your last sentence is spot-on. I think it's incredibly cringy, but if the choice is to hear that or nothing then "f*** off home" is way better.
And while we're at it let's re-instate that one that we apparently got from St Pauli. (Appropriate as we've now got their manager). People objected to it 'because Palace sing it'. Never mind telling opposition fans to f*** off home, we should say that to the Song Police.
