let me just say first off it’s been an excellent season results-wise. and obviously there’s the usual caveat about a new manager needing time, same with the new players.

i do think it is just worth mentioning, more out of curiosity than a moan, that to be honest, i really haven’t been that impressed with any of our performances so far. certainly not like we saw when RDZ took over from potter (although again there were a few dodgy performances early on). our buildup routines are mostly appalling, we look as defensively open as we did last season and saw against ipswich the same old issues of not being able to win against park-the-bus teams.

it’s absolutely nothing to worry about really, we got four points of arsenal and utd ffs, but it does leave me wondering if we are flattering to deceive a little?

Still undefeated under Hurzler with plenty of room for improvement. De Zerbi inherited a very strong squad yet took a few games to get going. I'm struggling to find any negatives so far

Feel really ungrateful saying this, after the obscene amount of money spent this summer. Happy to be proven wrong down the line but I feel the £40m spent on Rutter for example, should have been used for at least 1 if not 2 centre backs of a much better standard than Igor and Webster.

We just have to remember how many changes we made. This was very much a second string.

Very soon we'll have Ferdi, Wieffer, Pervis, Ferguson all match fit and ready to go if they're not already. Pedro soon as well

In a few weeks, Gruda will come into the mix. Maybe Milner, who would have been a great option for the last 15 mins tonight

In a month or so, maybe Solly, O'Reilly.

We'll undoubtedly pick up injuries, but there's every reason to think we'll be much stronger in the coming weeks than we have up to now

Clutching at straws. Think we were excellent 1st half today. But we have been good over halves rather than whole matches, change that and we will be very decent. Our build up form the back is much quicker than RDZ. Defence still our weakness, yes. Steele needs to steer clear of PL matches.

Webster is plenty good enough. Igor is truly dreadful.

I think it’s just hard to tell tbh. We’ve gotten the results but tbh, I’ve thought we’ve looked poor in most of the games bar Everton. The style isn’t that clear and the passing has been really poor as has a lot of the play at times.

These are things that can come right with time and practice, so it could just be early season issues, especially with such a lot of new players, who themselves are trying to get up to speed and learn.

I am glad fans are staying positive and backing the team because it’s still the best position we’ve ever been but I am not sure I agree with a lot of the calls that we look great and the players all look amazing and a cut above everyone else - nearly everyone out there is misplacing passes and making mistakes. I think we should recognise that too.

I don't think we've gelled as a team/squad yet, or quite worked out the new way of playing. I think we're doing well (results-wise) because we have good players - who can individually make things happen.

On the occasions we do gel for a few minutes - we look brilliant.

The new guys have hardly played, apart from Minteh (who is obvs very raw, but has loads of potential). Plus we've got a fair few players coming back from seriously long periods injured last season (Mitoma, Ferguson, Estupinan...). And - possibly most importantly - Fab is completely new to the Premier League. The difference between Bundesliga 2 and the EPL is HUGE. I'm amazed we've done this well (so far).

We’re unbeaten in our first five games and haven’t played well yet. And most of the £200 million we spent in the Summer hasn’t had a chance to actually do anything yet.

I would argue that we are absolutely insanely good. Imagine what happens when this team clicks.
