Afghanistan have a fairly strong Saarth Ifrica 37/7 in the 1st ODI at Sharjah

Whilst Warks have been dismissed twice in 61 overs for a combined 192/20 in reply to Essex' 232 all out

Glamorgan avoid the follow-on against Yorkshire, while at 326/8 Atherton Jr will have to shepherd the tail for Middlesex to gain a 3rd batting bonus point

Pretty sure that wouldn't be worth the cost. Didn't help Surrey when they got in Shakib Al Hasan for the Somerset match. And Sussex are a club that can't afford to turn the floodlights on: why would they splash out for such a risk?

Obviously would depend on cost and if the player actually performed (which is no guarantee).

But I am sure they could have found someone not too expensive who could have got more than the 10 runs carter did.

The club should be doing everything they can to win promotion.

Hammond ct Simpson, b. Carson for 40.

Another tidy catch.

Three overs left in the day, after this one. No.10 Ed Middleton comes in as a nightwatchman.

The worst case scenario is that we go into the last game 19 points ahead of Middlesex. It also means that if we draw with Gloucs, we're promoted.
