With his 83 year old manager in 2023. You decide.Same as the last 40 years then?

I was a JCL so at the Dome in 1985. Marr seems a very sound bloke, less said about the other fella the betterNothing can match the original line up. Brighton Poly 1984 .
Except that since the Smiths he's gone from a decent Smiths tribute, to a gradually more lame & embarrassing Smiths tribute. At best.Morrissey is The Smiths.
Pretty sure you haven’t read the statement two posts up the page.Pretty sure Marr would have done this as a pre-emptive move to stop the decrepit pub rocker touring under the name and if he didn't he should
I added the bit at the end palPretty sure you haven’t read the statement two posts up the page.
You remind me that at countless gigs at the Dome in the 70s the bar was open between sets.To be honest, I'm with JM on this. Recent gigs spoiled by noisy, neon-lit bars, with people continually pushing past to get served...in the middle of a set FFS. Oxford O2 is a prime example and a venue I won't go to again. If you just want to drink and chat, better to go to a pub.
Marr, not a nob. Fact.
exactly, many of the songs were written by Morrisey and are deeply related to his early life and perceptions, and are very personal to himMorrissey is The Smiths.

This was in a 1940's theatre where the bar was outside the auditorium. To be honest, I'm with JM on this. My pet hate is cameras being held up high to film a gig, that is just as irritating as folks pushing past you to get a pint. This was in a 1940's theatre where the bar was outside the auditorium.
Had no interest in chatting. Did like many others fancy a beer though like I have done at pretty much every gig I've ever been to.
With you on that. Sadly it is creeping into football as well. And it's not just kids either. I had a bloke sat in front of me at the United game, I would say in his 60s, film probably about 90 seconds of the game at a time. I don't recall anything happening when he was filming. Surely these people don't go home and watch these videos back?My pet hate is cameras being held up high to film a gig, that is just as irritating as people as folks pushing past you to get a pint.
As for talking at gigs, reserved for the back, if they are chatting in the middle or front, I suggest the band or artist is boring or those chatting are not there to see them, so they should move to the back.
