He didn't fire a shot. He was spotted in the bushes when Trump was on the preceding hole. He then ran off leaving behind his rifle and all his other equipment.

I really wouldn't put anything past him and his 'people' to get his arse back in the Oval Office.What are your thoughts on Thomas Matthew Crooks, the first gunman, who was killed?
Was that part of the plan, or did government agents double cross him by murdering him and planting a recently fired gun on his person? If they did this, why would they choose a registered Republican and stated firearms enthusiast?
Were the photographs and videos taken of Crooks climbing on the adjoining rooftops carrying a rifle minutes before the shooting, as bystanders point him out to police, deepfaked by the superstate?
How do you propose the ear injury was faked? Were the secret service agents who surrounded him actually make up artists who quickly applied a prosthetic and fake blood?
What are your thoughts on the person Crooks killed - were they part of the conspiracy, and their family and all their friends who attended their funeral? Was he was a crisis actor - along with the EMT’s, surgeons and nurses who attempted to save his life?
If Trump and his staff are unable to conspire to put his penis inside numerous women who aren’t his wife without anyone knowing, what on earth makes you think he would be able to mastermind such an incredibly bizarre sequence of events? A sequence of events which would require literally hundreds of police officers, secret service agents, medical personnel, civilians and broadcasters to conspire on.
He can’t conspire to stop saying stupid things on television in front of hundreds of millions of people, but somehow he can come up with probably the greatest hoax in political history - for minimal gain?

You're probably right though, likely nothing to see here. I just can't help being dubious about just about everything when it comes to Trump. He is absolutely mental, so nothing would surprise me with him. Nothing.

There are reports coming in that the suspect was in the tree line, armed with an AK-47 rifle, according to the BBC's US partner CBS News.
Multiple law enforcement officials have told the broadcaster that the armed suspect was spotted on the edge of the golf course by a member of Donald Trump's US Secret Service's advance team, two holes ahead from where the president was golfing.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene after he was engaged by Secret Service agent with multiple gunshots, and the suspect jumped into a car.
CBS reports that a car with the same license plate number was stopped in Martin County and one individual was taken into custody. It is unclear if it is the gunman, but it is believed to be and law enforcement officials are questioning that individual now.
Law enforcement officials say an AK-47 style weapon and scope has been recovered at the scene by the golf course.

Are you suggesting the entire incident could’ve been faked then? Think about it for a second logically. Someone was shot and killed, and another wounded in addition to Trump, then the gunman shot and killed. Two dead bodies. Everyone in attendance heard the gunshots, along with it being caught on camera.
Does Trump carry around blood pellets just in case there is an assassination attempt? Like, he hears a gunshot and goes “now is my chance, to get a blood pellet and break it open on my ear in front of thousands of people and TV crews”?
Or did none of it at all happen - were there no shots fired at all, and everyone in attendance including the camera crews were paid actors? I’d like to see the non-disclosure agreements drawn up for that one.

The main part of the first attempt that I don't get at all is the pics of Trump with a piece missing out of the edge of his ear and what looks like a hole or an indentation in the ear, followed by pics a couple of weeks later showing a complete, unscarred ear.

Although ‘freedom of speech’ does not, by any stretch of the imagination, extend to propagating conspiracy theories, pedalling down right untruths, making misogynistic and discriminatory comments about your political opponents nor constantly dog whistling to your supporters to rise up in armed conflict and ‘take back America’.
So let’s not kid ourselves here. That when it comes to ‘free speech’ in Trump’s La La Land, it is not civil rights Trump needs to avail himself of when he opens his mouth but a heavily armed security detail.

Yes, it does. You asked about reports stating that the gunman fired no shots and the only shots were fired by the secret service. This report, and others, confirms that the gunman was spotted when Trump was several hundred yards away and he ran away leaving his gun and other equipment behind, at which time the secret service fired shots.
If you look on the BBC News website you will see several updates about the incident. I wouldn't suggest he wasn't targeting Trump though. He clearly was, and the FBI has classified it as an assassination attempt.

Okay, so let’s say the gunman is under orders to miss (and fire into a crowd of his own supporters, killing one and wounding another). Was it part of the deal that he agreed to be shot dead too?
As for his ear, again, talk me through your logic here. So the planned gunshot goes off, he ducks down behind the podium, quickly applies movie level stage makeup to his ear to make it appear a piece of missing from the edge of his ear, in the space of about 20 seconds, then pops back up. In collaboration with the secret service agents and the audience who could clearly see him the rear.
Is it not more likely, on the balance of probabilities, that he had plastic surgery to repair the damaged part of the ear afterwards?
Is it perhaps more realistic to believe the original image of Trump’s bloodied and holed ear was genuine and that plastic surgery and makeup have played a big role in making the ear look ‘back to normal’?
Trump is a profoundly vain man. His obsession with his hair and height is infamous. I imagine that for public appearances, his assistants use a lot of makeup to make him appear younger and more handsome. You really don’t need a conspiracy theory to explain why a man who greatly values appearance does not want to scuttle about with a chick missing from his ear.

I am not saying it was a staged event. That does appear highly unlikely. I just don't get the ear bit. Surely, you can't have plastic surgery after receiving what appear to be non-superficial wounds to the ear and have no visible marks or swelling or discolouration only a couple of weeks later?
When people have nose jobs, facelifts etc. they keep them bandaged up for several days and when they remove the bandages they look like they've just been in the ring with prime Mike Tyson.
If it wasn't for the magic ear regrowth I wouldn't be so sceptical about what actually happened. The behaviour of the Secret Service agents was a bit flaky but you can perhaps put that down to Trump being impossible to control.
Edit: they have also refused to publish the hospital medical report following the shooting.
Have you fact checked the photos of Trump’s ear you’ve seen? Can you rule out the following?
A photo that appears to show Trump's ear with no damage after the attempted assassination is actually from 2022
Social media users are sharing the old photo as new, with some falsely presenting it as evidence that Trump was not injured by the gunfire.

The photo I saw was taken and released by Trump's own people showing him on his plane as he was flying to a rally less that 2 weeks after the shooting. He was wearing a MAGA hat with 45-47 on it These hats, indicating he will be the 45th and 47th President are a recent "innovation" by his campaign.Have you fact checked the photos of Trump’s ear you’ve seen? It would seem that the shooter was concerned that Trump would cause Ukraine to lose the war if he got elected.
Most people on here would take a whacked Trump if it meant victory for Ukraine.
