Absolutely barking mad. Watched the whole thing in the States. It's like everyone accusing the BBC of being bias - half accuse them of being to the right the other half to the left which basically means they are pretty much nailing it. As a sane person if I were moderating I would have interjected about every 10 words Trump uttered as he is incapable of telling the truth but they let him witter on and only fact checked him when he became so ridiculous that only a small child would still be believing him.
Absolutely barking mad if you thought ABC aren’t bias.

This all goes back to the Obama policies and the radical change in the Democrat Party.

The moderators were pro Harris, surely you must acknowledge that?
So which annoyed you more, when they said “murdering children is illegal in every state” or when they said “all the officials we spoke to said the eating pet thing is bollocks”? And why did you find those statements so outrageous?

The so-called fact checking was atrocious. For example, the moderators asserted that President Trump’s concern about babies being allowed to die after birth was wrong. Yet at least eight babies have been allowed to die in Minnesota under Gov. Tim Walz after attempted abortions. The ABC fact check was simply a lie.

FACT CHECK Trump’s comments on that shall we?

TRUMP : “[Harris’s] vice-presidential pick … says that abortion in the ninth month is absolutely fine,”

FALSE - Harris has never said aborting foetuses at 9 months is ‘fine’, it is illegal.

TRUMP : “[Tim Walz] also says: ‘Execution after birth’ – execution, no longer abortion because the baby is born – is OK.”

FALSE - TW has absolutely never advocated ‘executing babies‘ .

Fox News subsequently claimed ‘Minnesota’ (where Walz is governor) ‘loves itself a little infanticide”

FALSE - There is no evidence that the State of Minnesota is carrying out infanticide under abortion laws.

How can you believe this utter fcuking tripe @lasvegan ?

FYI the background to Trump’s lies

Waltz signed an amendment to a Minnesota law back in 2023 - a law that originally stated that medical personnel must “preserve the life and health of a born alive infant”.

The amendment reworded this to say “care for the infant who is born alive”. No change was made to the earlier part of the sentence which says that: “All reasonable measures consistent with good medical practice” must be taken.

The right has interpreted the change of wording from “preserve the life” to “care for” to argue that it’s now OK for doctors ‘to let healthy babies die’ - FALSE

What the right refuse to acknowledge is that under the old law, ‘if a baby had been born with a condition that means it’s not going to survive more than a few hours, for example, the former wording would have forced doctors to keep that baby alive as long as possible, even if it was suffering. The amendment allows healthcare professionals and the baby’s parents to decide if they’d prefer to offer palliative care and ensure the baby is as comfortable as possible in its last moments.

In other words: the amendment is not cruel, it’s compassionate’

It certainly is not legitimising infanticide nor legalising the murder of babies after they are born.

spouting unsubstantiated twaddle is not debate
Did you not watch the Trump V Harris debate last week?

If twaddle is all you got, then twaddle is what you fight with.

Fox News claiming Trump was hard done by shocker.

Trump was held to account because he lies constantly. Like in the video above where he asks his crowd 'Do you know Nicky Jam? She's hot' and then we watch Nicky Jam, the man, walk up to meet Trump.

Ah yes, 'the national Catholic register'. Seems like a very neutral and objective source.

Has this fella used the phrase "I've done my own research" yet?

One can twist that into executing babies only if one subscribes to keeping anything alive no matter how damaged, in agony, decerebrate or whatever.

The big lie is that almost nobody subscribes to such weird Christian cultist bollocks. Certainly Trump doesn't.

It is simply political smearing.

Like Trump's plan to execute the elderly so he can reduce tax

No, it was Trump (and now you) who was wrong. Trump said that there were abortions after birth, and that the Democrats wanted to allow the execution of babies. Both of these are false. No baby is being executed (murdered), and no one wants that. That's preposterous.

Quite, 'aborting' and 'not keeping alive' are two very different things - perhaps not if you see the bible as a text book.

All of THIS.

WTF is wrong with you @lasvegan ? Why are you claiming that all this nonsense is true? It's pure madness.

This is why constructive debate is an utter waste of time - Zeberdi posts a clear and concise rebuttal to your claim and the only response is "believe what you like".

That's all he's got. Still, we should be grateful he didn't just reply with 'but they're eating the dogs, they're eating the cats!'

This line of discussion is a fine example of the mental gymnastics required to consider voting for the Trumpster.

And this is while still ignoring the need to justify the fact that he is a convicted felon*, Sex pest and masssive liar.

*due to the other incredible nonsense from the debate I feel that him blaming immigrants for the rising crime rate while he is actually some of those same statistics was lost somewhat. But it did make me chortle somewhat.

USA what are you doing to yourselves.
