Happy with this — with the caveat that if Wieffer is unavailable we play Ayari.
The slight advantage we have is that Wolves are playing now, 24 hours after us, so are likely today rest a lot of players as well.

The only issue I have would be playing too many players coming back from injury. That could leave us with a team not quite up to speed, with no coherence.
Saying that, if fit Weiffer, Fergie and Ferdi all need game time.

Another loss for Wolves sees them with a solitary point after four games. They have Villa and Liverpool next up in the EPL. I would think that, even at this early stage of the season, they are not going to risk key players on Wednesday.

I have no idea.

Just back from watching Wolfs round my mate's place. They are very decent.

Does feel like the bottom teams are a bit more competitive this season. Only Everton and saints have looked completely hopeless. The relegation battle might be quite interesting but hard to tell this early.

Teams like palace , Bmuff and forest have moved up a notch. Wolves,Leicester and Ipswich don't look too bad.

Gruda is only just back on the grass and training away from the main group. I’d be amazed if he’s involved on Wednesday.

Subs: Steele, Igor, Lamptey, Hinshelwood, Wieffer, Peupion, Mitoma, Minteh, Welbeck

*Swap for Wieffer if fit to start

Rest some of the older players. A night off for the likes of Dunk and Veltman. But still keep some of the best XI involved.

If Wolves go strong?

A theory on par with another of yours concerning Hinshelwood not being good enough for us.

Wolves are in the bottom 3 with a West Midlands derby coming up at the weekend. The thought they’d prioritise the League Cup over the EPL and not rest their best players for Villa but rather put out a strong side on Wednesday against us is quite baffling.
