It was fairly flat, especially the final disjointed 25 minutes. In the NS, pretty quiet throughout.
Needed an Albion goal to lift the crowd and draw out the Ipswich numbers.

Have to say I wasn’t that impressed with Ipswich. Not sure McKenna made much of a demonstrative point - we were just very ropey around goal and his team avoided a deserved 2-0 or 3-0

As someone who believes the team lifts the crowd and someone actually at games, I’ll stick with that.
Today was a bit of a throwback to the endless non Amex runs of Potter. Much passing in crowded spaces 20 yards out, then powder puff shots or hopeless crosses mopped up by Muric. You could feel the frustration in the crowd, especially second half.

Yes - but I also groaned as we are so used to him working the keeper when he first broke into team
They defended really well and stopped us having many clear cut chances. I don't think they've got the respect they deserve on this thread. They've bought a few good players as well.
Not disagreeing but its a bit of a "no shit, Sherlock" that a goal would help the team win and make the crowd happy.

That’s pretty much base level Premier League. To be honest no sign they’ve got much else except low block and effective relegation by March
It works both ways. Different supporter cultures in different leagues, different regions, even in different clubs. The common thing they all have together is that teams win more at home than away, so fan-team interactions clearly mean something regardless of which shape they come in.
Of course I understood, hence my reply.
Hmmm harsh. Omari Hutchinson and delap look top drawer to me.

Unless they buy finishers and creators in January. Bmuff two or three Xmas’s ago were certs for relegation. in January they spent £50m and a couple loans of 4 or 5 highly regarded players with searing pace and goals from overseas.
Their consortium of owners have money.

Thought Hutchinson was pretty anonymous along with the England midfielder. Delap has one good moment and nothing else.
I know you are making the case that they defended well but what I saw was more poor touches, snatched shots and poor composure letting them off a deserved pounding
After about 20 minutes I was thinking that we were more in control than we had been against Crawley, and they were not as good as Crawley. But they improved after that, especially in the second-half.

You are going totally on reputation and one run where JP should have done much better than he did. We absolutely dominated the game and that’s the frustrating thing, dunno if we’ll have an easier chance of 3 points than that

And yet Jack doesn't tickle your fancy. Different strokes I guess. I thought they were both pretty meh; quick (quicker than our defenders at least) but not much else in the bag.
Back to my original point. Dominated maybe but created very few clear cut chances which was quite surprising. A little bit like arsenal when they went down to 10 men. Just not enough quality to break down a low block.

This is the game I saw. On an average day we win 2-0, on a peak performance day 3 or 4
I don’t believe yet we have Potter-itis, I think there are goals in this team albeit the combinations looked ungelled at this stage without our best attacker Pedro. Would have been interesting what difference O’Riley could have made today
