Sussex have their first interest here since 2021, and the opportunity to win their first title in the competition since 2009, and their first major title since... well that.

In their way are Somerset who will be hoping to become the first team to retain the title, Gloucestershire, and our dear friends from Slurry.

The bookies are favouring a final between us and that lot although, as we know, T20 can be a lottery. None of the finalists will be shock winners.

A happy day to those attending and, If you are at Edgbaston, :needpics:

Just leaving for Gloucestershire. Then a mad drive to Somerset or Surrey for the final.

I suspect the final might be decided by the toss. Whoever wins the toss will bowl then chase vs a very wet ball. It worked for England last night!

Meeting mates about 10 at all bar one at new street for a quick breakfast before heading to the ground. Come on Somerset*

*if we lose then come on Sussex and if Sussex lose then come on gloucs in final. Surrey got pope, Lawrence and smith back so will be strong. Somerset missing Riley and Banton so best batsman and bowler.

I'm mainly concerned about how many times I'm going to have to put up with a snippet of 'Sweet f***ing Caroline' today.

Of course whatever happens, we all deserve a party for once again seeing off all those ghastly northerners between us

And a Div 2 championship in the mix as well. Could be a great season!

Somerset just always seem to be in this! Let's hope they can polish off Slurry this morning.

Little quiz question:

Who are the only two teams not to have appeared on finals day in the last ten years ?

Somerset are a great unit, Surrey getting pegged back a bit here

Kent won it in 2021, although that was the only appearance since 2010.

In other news, Slurry seem to be making quick work of Somerset at the moment, alas.

EDIT: and now Somerset seem to be making quick work of Slurry.
