MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

  • This will be the 936th different fixture to be played in the Premier League.
  • The sides last met in the Championship in February 2017, while the most recent top-flight encounter was in 1983.
  • Brighton have won two of their past 10 home league matches against Ipswich (D6, L2).
Albion
  • The Seagulls can go unbeaten in their opening four top-flight games of a season for the second time, having done so in 2022-23 (W3, D1).
  • They dropped points in four of their six league matches against newly-promoted opposition last season, including home draws versus Sheffield United and Burnley (W2, D3, L1).
  • Brighton have won six of their past eight top-flight fixtures in September, scoring at least three goals in each of the four most recent of those victories. However, their last September fixture ended in a 6-1 defeat at Aston Villa.
  • Joao Pedro is vying to score in three consecutive Premier League appearances for the first time.
Ipswich
  • Town have dropped a league-high five points from winning positions this season.
  • They have lost seven of their last eight top-flight away fixtures (D1), with their most recent Premier League win on the road coming at Everton in February 2002, when Sixto Peralta and Matt Holland netted for George Burley’s side in a 2-1 triumph.
  • The Tractor Boys are winless in their opening three top-flight games for the first time since 1984, while their tally of seven goals conceded is their highest at this level since 1974.
  • Sammie Szmodics can become the second player to score in both of his first two Premier League away appearances for Ipswich, emulating Steve Whitton in 1992.

Through to the next round here, no excuses. A tricky away trip for the lads, but I reckon we’ll smash this lot.

I’m going to go 4-1 Albion, March hat-trick, a Milner volley and a debut goal for O’Riley.

Worthing
Missing my first home game for 3 and a half years.😞😞
Took a gamble on a cheap holiday deal for this week instead of last week, not thinking for a minute that EUFA would be daft enough to have an international break 3 games into the new season.

The moral of the story, never underestimate the stupidity of EUFA.

My first game in my new season ticket seats!! I’m feeling fab about this one!!!
Same for us, as missed the United game

Thinking about it we haven’t stayed put for a single season over the last few years

North
West Upper
West Lower
North Shelf
North Shelf block along

Might stay put as got the seats I’ve been after for a while but then if there’s movement of the away fans next year, the home south stand due to proximity to the coach park might be more desirable!

First live game of the season, really looking forward to seeing a strong attacking performance. From the bits I have seen of Ipswich their style should suit us to the ground.
