I listen every day while driving around for work. I like Simon and find him to the point and at times funny. Jim however, not so much!
Your 100% right… but I do think the show work because of the chemistry between Simon and Jim.
Jim says something ridiculous (quite often), and Simon puts him in his place.
The only other sensible presenter on this particular show that talk sense is Danny Murphy.

"Brighton have an environment where recruitment is correctly deployed, the youth system is motivated and energised, and the owner and chief executive makes sure every aspect of the operation works to the highest order.

It means an average manager can look good. And a good manager, as they expect Hurzeler to be, can come in and fly. So as much as it pains me as a former Crystal Palace owner, Brighton is a blueprint for how a club can be run."

Please excuse the source...

He obviously hasn’t tried the burgers

Had the balls on TS to take on Troy Townsend, also a PFA rep who came on TS calling for positive discrimination in interviewing and then appointing managers from ethnic minorities. Believing in an evolution over time, from the best candidates winning and retaining their jobs.

When it would’ve been easy to say nothing to challenge the guests.

He did similar yesterday. Jim was salivating about some bullshit report in football about how we all eat Raw meat on the terraces, tell women to get their tits out and steal policeman's helmets and shit in them on Saturday afternoons.

Jim quickly moved on the first woman caller who called it out for the rubbish it was before they wheeled out someone who said she had her own popular podcast but wasn't allowed an opinion on football because she was a woman. Without a hint of irony I might add.

I did enjoy Jordan basically saying it might be because she was talking bollocks.

His view has evolved.

When we made Europe and were raking in vast transfer fees, he kept saying on TS that he’d heard it all before about a club having a model to follow. He mocked reports that academics such as the Harvard Business School had looked at our management approach. Clear that the Albion bubble would burst.

Finally, converted.
It's arrogance to suggest that the bubble can't burst for a club of our size, just as it's ignorance to suggest that it definitely will.

I think calling it a bubble suggests that it will burst eventually.
It isn't a bubble, it's solid progress. It's possible to stop progressing and regress, but we are not as vulnerable as most clubs of our size.
First and foremost, we know we have an owner that is interested in the long term future of the club, it isn't a vehicle serving some other agenda.

Totally, agree. I guess my point is, any club of any size (outside the mega-clubs and Spurs) can have that one bad season and go down. As I've heard said a few times: "Every week there's a new club in crisis, you just have to make sure it's not you when it matters".

In all honesty, I struggle to see a season where there's not 3 clubs worse than us, especially with the gap between the PL and Championship growing every season and Bloom at the helm, but I suspect Bloom will always make sure that we don't fall into complacency.

Jordan makes for entertaining radio as he is forthright, honest and knowledgable. But bloody hell he doesn't 'arf LOVE the sound of his own voice. If he was an ice cream, he'd lick himself.

Jim Shite is just his enternal brown-nose lickspittle. If it wasn't for the cameras in the studio, I swear he'd be under the desk fellating him most mornings.

As much as I dislike Cundy and O’Hara, I really enjoy their sports bar show. Far better than the crap Radio 5 Live put out.
