We always had a good fan base , we just didn’t have a ground for 15 years
That's not strictly true. We didn't own a stadium, but we had a stadium to play in for all of that time.

It's about the only notable thing to have occurred between us since the last game, last minute mayhem of Dean Wilkins winner that sent us into the play offs in the early nineties. Therefore in my book it's apposite on this occasion.
I get the point/timing, I just expected a bit more effort or something new in the first post in 10 years or so. I mean, we all know it was an “odd banner” what are gonna hear next, Timmy O’toole’s stuck down a well? Tell me something I don’t know 🤣🤣🤣

Crawley
I think they made the banner just to prove that they could read and write, as well as drive a tractor.
Quite like Ipswich, has some history to be proud of, but don't bang on about having won a European Trophy, unlike Leeds who bang on about not winning a European Trophy.

I don’t remember anyone at The Amex claiming to be “a lifelong Town fan, mate” 🤷‍♂️
Sorry to derail this interesting thread.

It is ironic that the footballs team of Newcastle-upon-Tyne is known as the Toon.

Millwall come from London Taahn.

And if the Albion had been named Brighton Town instead of Ho'valbion, we would call it Tyne.

There's geography for you.
