I see by your use of capitalisation you subscribe to the Trump school of social media posting.... athough you haven't yet quite got the hang of it....

For maximum effect you should have perhaps also capitalised the words TERRORISTS, SPIT, PISS, SHIT, FOOD, TUCKED, and BEDS.

The maximum sentence for arson with intent to kill is life, which generally means 10 years.

Responding to my post by rudely calling my valid points ‘blah blah blah, isn’t a fair comment - @cunning fergus’s reply to the specific and factual points I raised in my previous response to him was to post a bunch of conspiracy theories that had little to do with the post he quoted as I said above.

You got a blah, blah, blah because you missed, as expected, the “principal point” of how this avant garde of “mentally ill” terrorists running around randomly stabbing the citizenry these days is likely to be perceived by the general public, and I would wager that it’s not that they are a) mentally ill and b) should be sent to a secure hospital.


It is not a conspiracy theory to suggest that trust in politicians and the media are at an all time low. No matter though, this is only a football fans forum.

One last point, if my use of blah, blah, blah was rude then I sincerely apologise, you seem like a nice boy, an earnest type, with sensible shoes, your hair brushed and parted.

There are some other rougher types on here, less friendly, really long memories, Olympic standard in grammar, you may need to toughen up as they will take your library card off you and steal your dinner money without a thought. Enjoy your weekend.

One minute a poster thinks he is Tommy Robinson and acting out right wing racist hoolie fantasies, the next trying to be an intellectual, the Jordan Peterson stylee racist who can spell correctly and write long posts, he then morphs into TrumpIan style rants with lots of RANDOM words in CAPITALS.

I am concerned that such a poster may have mental health issues in the form of multiple personalities and deserves sympathy rather than mockery so please stop it NSC.

I didn’t ‘miss’ your points, I responded to each of your points specifically, addressing the factual inconsistencies you posted about the role of mental institutions and the law on criminal liability. These were points you raised initially but which you then subsequently morphed into broader issues about Grenfell and the PO and yep, tin hat worthy comments in your follow up about mental health.

The suggestion that the Government are behind a plan to deem all terrorists as ‘mental health’ sufferers and therefore should avoid criminal culpability as a means to “rig the deck” (whatever that means) is just unsupported by the facts and I would suggest that your own perception that this is how the ‘public’ thinks is more a reflection of you own ideas rather than the ‘public’ opinion you are purporting to represent with these views.

Just to be clear (again) the ‘Government’ doesn’t control day to day judicial sentencing or the CPS - it is up to judges/lawyers with the expert help of psychiatrists to argue a case for insanity or diminished responsibility.

I do however agree with the point you made above - ‘trust in politicians and the media’ are very low but I would suggest it reached rock bottom before Starmer took over, towards the end of 14 years of sleaze and lies propagated under a Tory Government and the flooding of social media with far right ideology and fake news in recent years.

I think it's perfectly healthy to have scepticism about what Politicians say, if only more people applied some to the things Farage says, maybe the fallout from Southport would not have been so severe.

There is a problem with trust and misinformation, but it seems to me like you have swallowed a chunk of bullshit. Maybe apply some of that healthy scepticism a bit more widely.
