I have decided on the Fridat Drinkies thread that my Companion Dog (ok Bear) will be Liver Lips McGrowl. He has had a tough year and needs support. Sacked by Disney for the following......................

Disney has changed the name of one of its decades-old characters after being deemed "offensive" and "derogatory".

Following a seven-month refurbishment at Disney World, 'Liver Lips McGrowl' did not make a return on the Country Bear Jamboree attraction.

The attraction first opened its doors back in 1971, featuring 18 bears performing old country songs.

According to the Disney Inside the Magic blog, the bear's name was considered derogatory to alcoholics.

"The decision to remove Liver Lips McGrowl was driven by concerns over the character’s name," they wrote in a statement. 'Liver lips' is said to be associated with excessive alcohol consumption, leading to liver damage.

Despite this I have decided to support Liver Lips McGrowl and have him as my Fridat companion. I will be drinking Badger Cranborne Poacher and he will probably also be having a libation...

Us alchys need to stick together and hear he is before being consigned to the San.

I love the Country Bear Jamboree. A fine selection of bad dad jokes but also somewhere for a nice air conditioned rest. If I needed an air conditioned nap, then the hall of presidents nearby was much more relaxing.

Decided to pay off part of a debt I have to a wonky web hotel with £500 that I won from O'Riley going to Brighton. Needed to use the cash before I wasted them. Feels good, feels bad; exactly 0 kr left. No beer this weekend.

I'm on the Burton Ale Trail. 12 independent pubs and micro bars each with 6 to 10 real ales. Averae price £3.80 pint, and the weather is hot.
I have been to Burton on crawl. It’s an amazing place for ale.
