Have you watched all three episodes? He did a great job with those kids, getting them to believe in themselves and learning team work. A lot of kids are bored, or ignored but get them interested in something and see the difference.
That's so picky.
And also....the Asian kids I know just want to be doctors. They wouldn't know cricket from locust.
No doubt, but they would know about cricket.

said in the credits half the lads had joined the Vernon club & the young Afgan was currently training with Lancs youngsters. Fingers crossed he will finally get residency.

His foster parents were lovely. At 16 he couldn't speak a word of English but had picked up cricket in Afghanistan. The veteran professionals were impressed with his talent. He looked so despairing at Liverpool when his asylum was postponed.

Really enjoyed this series and it was interesting to see how the dynamic changed between Fred and the kids and also how they have matured since the first series.
Seeing Fred open up about the issues he is having after the crash showed the impact it had on him as a person and you could really see his injuries (more so than when he has been interviewed during cricket matches.

A great follow up to the first series. Going to India was an eye opener for the lads. You could see their confidence growing through the programme.

With the two lads not being able to get their visas due to Pakistani heritage, despite not travelling on Pakistani passports, I made me wonder how Adan was able to travel to India. He's been granted asylum but not citizenship yet, so that doesn't give him the right to a British passport, or does it?
