The Athletic confirming the story Romano tapped in.

If it’s not about the money then perhaps the option of coming to Brighton was all about bench warming as JPvH and Dunky are our 1st choices.

He’ll surely be a starter at Roma?

Chortle!!! He was world class, he's still CL level even at 35. Dunk's starting place would have been in jeopardy IMO.

I'd say that unless he gets back to the levels he was at under Potter and early RDZ, Dunk's position will be in jeopardy anyway -other than the the fact that we don't have any cover for his position yet.

JP Van Hecke is possibly the more reliable of the 2 now,

He came on as a sub for the first time this season yesterday and scored an own goal in a 5-1 defeat to Fiorentina. I think we’ve had a lucky escape with this one.
How many OG’s has Dunk scored again?
Although I agree we need a pacy CB not another 30+ year old.
