Yes I didn't mean we are just getting started in terms of spending. I mean in terms of us being currently at the bottom of our ambitions (top 10) looking upwards .

We used to be thrilled to get one reasonable player on loan - now WE have sixteen of our own potential starlets out on loan.

Hard to believe - but Brighton has morphed into the epitome of a successful 21st century sports club - worldwide.

For us old twats (never thought I’d say that!) we have experienced Elite splurges under Mike Bamber. But this stuff is competing against oligarchs/hedge funds/nation states. Extraordinary - and still not really understood or appreciated by the wider media/pundit world.
