They would have been, they really would. Frankly though you could probably have called them if someone had suggested it after our first couple of seasons in the Prem. Remember those first couple of transfer windows when we were desparate for a striker? NSC once had a meltdown because we hadn't signed a Spurs reserve. Some people even pined after the Championship as it was assumed every season in the PL would be an attritional struggle, and if we played a Big Six team realistically the best result we could hope for was to avoid a thrashing. It's insane really, isn't it? The men in the white coats woulda been along if you'd told someone this during half-time at Hereford.

Pretty sure 154ish was the net spend, the 200 million is the gross spend.

And it really wasn't *that* long ago when we were playing at a largely uncovered 7k capacity athletics stadium with portacabins for dressing rooms. They would have been, they really would. Still can't fully grasp it.
This. Along with "preparing their next bid" or "faxing a bid" in the transfer window.“Writing cheques”
He even spelt our Fab's name correctly! Don't see that very often. Not even on the match reports on the albion app
Perhaps not with respect to our summer spending in future seasons, based on Tony's comments to the club podcast. But I do think we have permanently raised our ambitions and this past transfer window reflected as much.Astonishing, the thing is, I think we are only getting started.
