Indeed. O’Riley is two years younger and has 42 career goals with 52 career assist. Moder has 26 career goals and 23 career assists with only 3 assists in the Premier League. They are similar heights though.
Well, I dare say Moders stats would be better if he had been playing for MK Dons and Celtic.
If you like, Moders 3 pl assists are 3 more than O’Riley has.

And by the same token, O’Riley’s 3 assists in the Champions League are 3 more than Moder has.

Really bizarre he hasn’t gone or got a loan. Could do a good job for a bottom half prem team or any in the championship. I just don’t see him getting near the match squad once the injuries are back.

Jakub Moder will be one of the Poland players at their pre-match press conference today. I guess he'll get some questions on his situation.

Him being away with the national team makes it more unlikely that a loan or sale to one of the leagues that are still open for business will happen.

Not if he spends the season playing for Lech Poznan, which I believe is the most likely outcome if nothing better turns up.
At this point of his career he needs to be playing regularly and thats just not going to happen here.

Probably not, but if we had a game tomorrow, Baleba, Hinshelwood and Moder would be the only fit Midfielders, and Hinshelwood is covering left back for Estupinian.
My guess is he extends his contract before any loan would happen, if no extension, he stays and covers for injuries.

I also think he would have featured in some way if this was likely.

If we need another midfielder for our coming games, I think we're more likely to play someone like Rutter out of position than we are to play Moder

Wasn't that the club's logic in not signing cover in January? That went well...... I think RDZ might have mentioned it once or twice.

Did he play a single minute in pre season? I don't think so - it looks as if either the club or the new manager decided he wasn't wanted around here. So why on earth no decent loan or sale?
If the club wanted hum around to be sixth or seventh CM in the event of multiple catastrophic injuries, surely he'd have had a few minutes sometime, but I don't think he's even ever been on the bench, has he?

I still like him and would love to see him get a run of games, he is not the shit player that quite a few on here make him out to be…imo

I don’t think he’s a bad player either, I just feel that he hasn’t been able to make a role his own, largely due to his horrendous injury. This pre-season would have been his first chance to impress, and the fact we’re not seeing him suggests either that he’s had a knock/setback, or the new guvnor doesn’t see a place for him.

If he was going to have a place with us, my thoughts are we’d at least be seeing him on the bench. I really wanted things to come good for him here, and it does sadden me that it doesn’t look/feel like he’s in our plans. I can only imagine how hard he’s worked to try and get back from so long out.
