I'm assuming this is a play on the accent that forces a different inflection of vowels. There are some errors here.
Using any of the major accents, English South African, General black South African, Cape Coloured, Cape White. an 'e' in this context would still be pronounced as to identify the word 'feta' as is. Thus inferring said individual just kept eating cheese and put no more weight on.
In Afrikaans, the 'e' at worst would sound like an 'i'. Thus I read it as 'fitter'. I was confused as to how someone with a cheese addiction would indeed get fitter.

Feta is not South African but he is a Forward who plays for Maribor and actually comes from the Republic of North Macedonia where the eating of Greek cheese would be considered unpatriotic (Northern Macedonia has a very troubled history with Greece). The RNM have their own traditional cheeses of which they are very proud, including kashkaval which is nothing like feta but is a hard yellow cheese. While they do have a traditional cheese similar to Greek Feta, the idea it has addictive qualities is highly questionable imo.

The doc advised “Carefully.”
Edit: with halloumi and feta both covered off, I’d run out of Greek cheeses. Hard cheese for me.

I think you’d need a lot of it as horses are quite large. The cheese purchase would need to be made by someone with not only a lot of money, but also a credible answer as to why they needed to hide the horse in the first place.

The clue is in the fact that it’s Italian
But actually you would not need as much cheese to hide a pony as you would a horse. Generally, equines are called “ponies” up to a height of 14.2hh and “horses” are those taller than 14.2hh.
In that case what cheese WOULD one need to hide a horse (as opposed to a pony which has been clarified)?
