yeah , top championship i would say is his level.going out on loan i'd imagine. he's probably a very decent championship player.
Loaned out - played in the first team - loaned out again - chance of progression through a loan to the Championship cocked up - I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't clear off as soon as he can!Might have an option for a year extension?
Looks like he is staying at Standard until the summer now.We have an option for a year. New loan and try to sell him is my thinking

7 figures? Starting with a '0' and followed by six more '0's if his contract ends in June!At 25 now, he's beyond the developmental period where he could be a top half Premier League player, with us.
We won't see him in the B&W stripes again.
He has a lot of quality, and I personally thought he was good enough when he was playing - but I'm clearly wrong about that.
The question really should be - what kind of fee should we hope to get? 7 figures is certain - but a championship/continental club could bag themselves a real bargain. He would be a great signing for many.
yep this is how I see it. He was decent when he first appeared but then up popped, bissouma, moises, alexis, mitoma, adingra, encisco and to a certain extent an uptick in march. Because of these players and also no incredible progression from alaxte himself he is a victim of the club moving faster than he is capable of doing. He’s another victim of the club getting to good to soon as a few of the fringe players have said.
Did he find another club ?
Saw him on Sky Sports news a month or so ago, came across really well and seemed optimistic for his future, said he had options and offer but can’t see that he joined anyone??
Must be so difficult for a player in that situation, being unattached now for a few months.
Does he still live in the area ?
Does a player in that situation approach local clubs asking if they would be happy for him to train with them just to keep fitness levels up ?
Now the window has closed I don't think he can join another club until the window opens again in January, unless he goes somewhere where the window hasn't closed yet.Did he find another club ?

After the January window, I believe he will then qualify as a free agent who can be signed at any time.
OK, I bow to your superior knowledge*. Good news for Alzate then - hope he finds a good club; he's been very unlucky at times (the aborted load (to WBA?) for example.Alzate has been a free agent since he left us.
Providing a player is released from their contract before the transfer window closes they are free to join a club at any time.
If they are released from their contract after the transfer window is closed they have to wait until the next window to open before they can join another club.
For example Danny Welbeck was released by Watford on transfer deadline day and signed for us about 2 weeks later in October 2020.
