Surely, O'Riley's injury isn't that bad then, right? No way he's out till Christmas and we've let WBG go too.

I can't keep up.

What is the "likely out" list now ?

Turns ?
Samuels ?
Peupion ?
Moder ?
Lamptey ?
Igor ? ( Would need an incoming for this ).
They are all still here.
Lamptey will get bench time I’m sure.
I’d really like to see Moder given a chance to understudy Weiffer

I realise permanent deals might go to the wire - like obvious reasons why this happened with Gilmour and Dahoud - but why the loans left until the last minute? Is there any reason why, for instance, Offiah couldn't have gone to Blackpool a week ago, or more? What was there to hold up a deal? Or Cozier-Duberry to Blackburn, Sarmiento to Burnley, etc.

Although £150m of them are injured
As I posted above, we’ve just spent £65 million quid on two midfielders (both fit for Saturday ) who have much better stats for FB than Gilmour.

Why are some people wetting the bed over us selling Gilmour? - he wasn’t even the first choice for RDZ for much of last season - he wasn’t indispensable then, even less so now for a manager that wants to improve our xG by bringing in MFs that can score frickin’ goals.

I read an article about this once, featuring agents and others. The main reason seems to be “motivated seller”. Thinking of it like buying property, this is often a “chain”. So one player can’t be let go until another one comes in, for financial or squad balance reasons.

With loans, there are a lot of motivated buyers and sellers and it has just become an unwritten rule that business just gets done on the final day. Reasons for this are buyers being willing to pay what they weren’t before (desperation), clubs being willing to sell for lower demands, players worrying about being trapped at a club where they won’t play for another 5 months, agents lowering their fees to get moves over the line…

The ‘no clarity on Moder’ is a bit odd.

He is still here!! Clear enough for me!
Unless he goes to Denmark or Netherlands (or Portugal) as I mentioned above but what happened to the Leicester interest?

Not every player has to driectly improve the XG to be of worth Zeberdi. His replacements may be better, and they probably will be.

I am not 'wetting the bed' over us selling him but he is a player that I liked and added a lot to our midfield, i would have hoped to get more cash fo him too. Still, he wanted to go and I wish him nothing but the best of luck in Italy.
