I was impressed with his analysis and how he communicated it last night. Nailed it in an analytical way and whilst I expect he was angry about the injury to MOR, he didn’t lose his cool.
He was quite critical of the performance which I think was fair. In fact, after both league games he has been critical of certain aspects of our play.
Careful, analytical criticism with a plan to improve is obviously what appealed to both MOR and Ferdi when Fabian spoke to them. Shows that good players want to keep improving and don’t want a manager to just blow smoke up their arse.

Interesting that both O’Riley and Ferdi mentioned it was how Fab didn’t only praise them when he initially spoke to them, but told them where they can improve and how he can help them which sold him and the club.

Seems like he’s got ‘something’ when it comes to communication with players.

Long may it last
From the outside it looks a bit weird that he's only 31 (albeit with a good deal of coaching experience already). In reality, perhaps it's understandable that lads in their early to mid-20s find it quite easy to relate to a younger boss and forge a strong relationship.

Oat and raisin are delicious…
Oh come on, please.

Is there anything more disappointing in life than picking up what you believe to be a chocolate chip cookie, only to discover that it's oat and bloody raisin?

Yes. Yes there is.

Context is everything. An oat and raisin cookie would be ok with that very early morning coffee on the 5.56am train to London Bridge before a hard day pretending to be in meetings whilst posting on NSC. Could even claim the oats as low GI and the raisins towards your 5 a day.

As an emergency post-(wet)-lunch snack in the afternoon it’d be a useless, crushing disappointment though.

I would be disappointed with the reverse situation.
