on a pig farm
At last a sensible post and not the hysterical over reaction from so many melts on here
A premier league team comes up against a league one side and shock ,horror it's a little to physical and they're actually putting themselves about .Its interesting the Brighton manager said before the game he was treating it like a Premier league match ,well league one teams aren't Premier league and will be more physical because the difference in standard between the players is very noticeable.
Crawley played some good football but the movement of the ball from Brighton players was so quick and at times the Crawley players were struggling to keep up with it .Its why there was some shitt pulling and a few late tackles ..Take away the Jay Williams tackle on O Riley ,which was a bad challenge,it wasn't an overly dirty match .Even the red card wasn't that bad ,the Brighton player was up on his feet in 20 seconds and shrugged it off .
Jay Williams is an aggressive tackler ,he plays like that most of the time ,In your face ,letting the opposition know he's there etc etc .Doesn't mean the challenge was ok ,but don't use that to slag off the whole team ,fans and as usual the town itself ....As I say there were a few tired tackles and pulls and tugs because as Crawley players tired the Brighton players went up a gear and the movement and quick passing was the difference between premier league players and league one /two players.

As for the Brighton fans ,Jesus ,do they take sleeping tablets before they go to games .
Did the noisier ones stay at home for this game .Funny lot of supporters ,seems a very middle class vibe and happy clappy feel about the place .
I won't even talk about the trains ,jesus ,no wonder you lot are so quiet ,to busy planning wondering if you need to leave 20 minutes early to avoid the wait .
I won't wish you well for the season nor will I hope you tumble back to the championship, where you really do belong because for all the melts on here trying to get some kind of rivalry started Crawley just aren't interested , Brighton have never been on the radar in the town and never will be ,not untill you eventually slip down the leagues and we get to play you more often.
Oh ,sort the parking out in Brighton and tidy up London Road and do something with the graffiti and replace the pebbled beach with sand blah.blah ,blah.
Another **** on ignore

Newhaven
Newhaven is by the far worst place I've ever lived. Nothing comes close to that shithole. Taking long walks to the lighthouse and talking to fisherman was my escape from that place. If I remember correctly the chippy was decent near the police station
I see Newhaven as the Millwall of Sussex, no one likes us but we don’t care.
It’s a working class town, working port and full of industrial estates. Most people that live here aren’t up themselves, we all know it’s nothing special.
I’ve never lived in Crawley so difficult to compare, it does seem to be a town full of estates built in the 70s and 80s.
Tillgate Park is nice though.

Crawley don’t own their own stadium and owe nearly £6 million to their mysterious NFT owners. They are in a very precarious financial position.
Slightly off topic I've met crawleys owners in a strip club in Miami and they are actually really nice 😂 that's not to say they won't do them over once they spend all their cash (at Miami strip clubs)

I had a pleasant trip over to Seaford via Newhaven on the train last Sunday, it’s only when you get back to Brighton do you realise it Brighton really is full of wankers, seemingly from elsewhere who now call it home, one of my passengers described living in Brighton as London cost of living on shit Brighton wages! Nothing wrong with Newhaven mate, the only thing keeping me in my home town is my 91 year old mum.

Doxxing a teenage girl is the utter pits. Not sure there’s much of a high moral ground left there

I come from Brighton but moved away in 1998, I wouldn’t live there now as it’s too busy for me and far too expensive.

I’ve been changing my view of Newhaven for a while. It’s been neglected and dumped on for years and the victim of some awful planning decisions, but there are people who clearly care about the place and have done little bits here and there to invest in it.

I don’t think it’ll ever be gentrified - great - and the ugly road network and light industrial sprawl won’t get any easier on the eye. But it’s gradually building more of a sense of pride and getting more liveable, I would say. Still a lot to do but some encouraging progress.

I’ve only ever been to the Broadfield once 2022, Crawley v Wimbledon.

Just under 4,000 crowd, about 800 were Wimbledon. Crawley lost 2-0, and they were lucky to get 0 to be honest.

Atrocious football, Wimbledon by far the better team, and, Crawley had a player sent off for a dangerous foul.

I had discussed with my son in law making it a regular thing before we went, when the Albion weren’t at home, obviously.

We didn’t mention going again after that.

I don’t mind living here as I’m on the outskirts and almost next to the countryside which is handy for dog walks.
The A259 is starting to bother me much more than it should though, I have to drive to cart my tools around but the road through Newhaven is starting to get me down.

In all seriousness, I think Newhaven's fine. Town centre's a bit barren but sadly that's pretty common for towns that sort of size nowadays.
I'd certainly say that "living in Newhaven" wasn't anywhere near the top of my list of problems while growing up there.

Really stretching the meaning of doxxing there. This adult woman has posted under her real name, not anonymously, using a social media profile that clearly identifies her employers. No one has dug up her phone number or residential address, or any information she hasn't volunteered online.

You probably had more fans in the away end last night than you do at home matches. It was your big day out.

Apologies for the lack of enthusiasm from our fans about playing and beating Crawley Town 🤣
