The guy has a point. While O’Riley was watching us put away United on Saturday, I’m sure the 6,940 people at Celtic’s match were making lots of noise.

Given this has been rumbling on for a while, I'll admit to not being totally convinced by what I've seen on the pitch and in highlight reels. I've just watched his interview though and it's difficult not to be impressed with his attitude and the way he talks.

The best player to leave Celtic since van Dijk, for me. I watch a fair bit of Celtic.
Hatate and O'Riley have always stood out as the two who could play at a higher level.
I have far more trust in our recruitment than what 200 random Celtic fans say on a message board, although it is good that on this occasion they are in agreement.
The problem with fans of Monkey Tennis League clubs is that they are watching crap football every week. This wasn't always the case but it absolutely is now. Last season, Hibs fans were doing the usual Scottish thing of talking up English arrogance when Villa fans dared to suggest they would win their tie comfortably. Funnily enough they all went a bit quiet when Villa's second XI hammered them 5-0 at Easter Road in the first leg.
Similarly, Celtic fans can talk up their players and atmosphere all they want, but I'll bet half the players who move onto big leagues just flop. We all know how bang average Sima is, yet he ripped up the MTL when he was at Rangers last season. And some of us are old enough to remember Celtic Park being 3 quarter empty quite regularly. But I'm sure Celtic Park was a wall of noise when they were being turned over by teams like Airdrie and Clydebank in the 90s in front of 12,000 most weeks.

A lot of Celtic players have become solid PL players.
When it comes to Scottish football, it's generally strikers you can't assess properly. A good few prolific ones have been average upon leaving. The likes of Boyd, Édouard, etc.
Average? The word you are looking for is "shite".
And it's not just strikers. Connor Goldson moved to Rangers after falling to third (maybe 4th?) in our centre back pecking order when we were only a Championship side. He immediately looked world class in Glasgow and is still there.
Says it all really.

Connor Goldson was unfortunate I think. Because he looked great before he had his heart problem. We then brought Duffy in to play alongside Dunk, and we looked very physical at the back. But Goldson at that point in time was a better passer of the ball than both of them (although Dunk has since improved his passing incredibly ). I can't help but feel if Goldson had stayed for a while longer, our style of passing out from the back would have suited him under Potter.

Yes that is true. But the fact is, when he moved to Rangers he immediately looked like arguably the best defender in the league. Here, he was one of three who could have been permed in and out of the side, and crucially that was as a Championship side.

And yet he reached the Europa League final with Rangers, and his replacement Duffy was an unmitigated disaster at Celtic. Goldson was always a good player, he just didn't reach his peak with us.
Celtic would probably be lower half PL level. Rangers have dropped off and now probably would be an upper half Championship side south of the border.
The problem is that the rest of the league is League 1 level.
Awful challenge.

The referee has had a nightmare there.
It’s a straight red and looked it as it happened. Could see it happening. Shocking tackle, and the referee has endangered the players by letting that go unpunished. Booked later for another reckless lunge on Julio. Not acceptable from player or referee.
If that’s £25m in the bin and 6 months with f***ed ankle ligaments Crawley should be getting served with some papers.
