Then focus can move to Gomez ( is it actually happening ? ) and a central defender ( plan B if we are miles away from agreeing a fee for Boscagli ).

I’m not really that fussed with Gomez as he won’t come to January anyway ?
I’m also beginning to think do we need another CB ? With Webster, Veltman and Igor as back up ?
I would say another RB/RWB is needed
Maybe keeping Igor is the backup plan if we don't sign Boscagli. Anyway, I think that saga is going to make up next week's transfer discussion.

Agreed. Dunk and JPvH are great centre backs, and Webster plus Igor are great backups - unless he wants us playing with 3 centre-backs?
Ferdi, Veltman, Lamptey - why do we need more?

For me, only reason we buy another centre back is if we can find a pacy left footed one. If not, then we already have the numbers.

I just think there aren't that many teams in the division with better back up centre backs than .....
No 3 = Webster
No 4 = Veltman
No 5 = Igor
I think we have enough
I think we will end up 3 at the back
All your 3 above are ok for a game or 2 but would cost us over any period

Three at the back means, yet another of the huge number of midfielders / attackers on our books doesn't get a game.
