Wieffer to protect the back 4 and Baleba to create CARNAGE charging through the middle trampling over anyone in his way and creating space for Pedro, Mitoma and Minteh.

Not sure it was that simple. He never seemed to have space to run into.
I thought it was largely due to Rashford playing very high with a huge gap between him and Dalot, whereas Mazaoui and Amad were much closer and interchangeable. Mitoma appeared to have more defending to do than Minteh given Amad was arguably their most dangerous player. All their key chances came down our left.

Might be similar against Arsenal as I think they’re stronger down their right than their left, all be it it was Trossard coming onto the left that changed the game v Villa.

Arsenal, City and Liverpool are currently three of the best teams in the world. I remember when digging anything out of any of those games was a f***ing miracle.

These days, if we're on top form, we can beat any of them, and if we're not on top form, even more reason to support the boys :ascarf:

It's good fun isn't it

I think we can beat Arsenal. They aren't flawless. Score first by Mitoma skinning White. Let them push for the equaliser. Score again on the break. Maybe a late one to pop a cherry on the top. I could see a 3-1 to the Albion. Not likely, but possible.

I'm more concerned about how we dont concede. We were wide open several times v Utd when they broke and hard to think Arsenal wouldn't capitalise far more effectively.

2-3-5 formation, ‘ave it.
Yesterday it looked like 2-3-2-3 and under RDZ we often looked 2-4-4 when attacking.

I'm thinking 2-3-3-2 . .. but what ever
Play our biggest f***ing side. Arsenal are a huge outfit. Have to physically match them.
Baleba and GIlmour/Weiffer to take Odegaard and Rice out of the equation.

A combination of Mitoma and Adingra will boss White.

Veltman to break Trossard

Welbeck header, Havertz equaliser . .then Ferguson off the bench @ 80 minutes and break Reas arm with a thunderbastard piledriver from 10 yards out for the winner

easy 3 points I reckon.

Be interesting to see how this match plays out. We didn't lay a glove on them last season. This has arguably come a little early in the season for us, with the new manager and squad still getting to know each other. Still hopeful that we might at least give them a little something to think about this time round.
