I think we're a lot further than that. The counter attack and finishing against Everton was good, but they are a bit shit.

I know United tend to do reasonably in the league (with a heady 8th last season), but I thought both sides were full of mistakes today, and lacking much fluidity. I hope we improve quickly.

Like you say though, exciting times.
Fragmented is the phrase we used at half time in particular..... I hope we insert a decent WBG replacement because in the 2nd half he was cooking..... he did the old pre-trf wave as he went off, sadly I think he is a gonna.

Yeah he waved goodbye, but he's only leaving because FH thinks we have better options. If we really wanted him to stay, he would.

He needs to leave. He wasn’t the only utd player looking like he wanted to be somewhere else.
This

He's a good player. The last thing he needs in his life is Manure.

I'm sure TB would offer him a job if he was free . . . He'd have to up his game a bit to start though.

In all seriousness, Veltman did a job on him, like Manures RB did on Mitoma. Sometimes it pays to just have a man on man to nullify a major threat. . . . Veltman is Major Shithouse . . . ROnaldo, SOck boy etc . . . Another unsung legend.

Emotional, but not euphoric

Euphoria was certainly a word to encapsulate the noise that greeted the final whistle even though, with five victories in the past six meetings against United, beating them has become routine.

Maybe it was starting the season with successive victories, although Brighton did that last term as well.

Quite possibly it was that, again, they have found a manager who can continue the club's forward momentum, which has taken them to places their supporters could never have dreamed of two decades ago.

"It was emotional," said Hurzeler. "It always is when you get a win in the last minute and my team deserved to win."

"It is difficult to describe emotions. That is why I love the job. You can't buy these emotions and you won't get them from anywhere else."

"But we have to be honest, if United score it would be very difficult for us. I am realistic, never euphoric, because if you are euphoric it means you lose the focus on the realistic things."

That seems a roundabout way of Hurzeler saying he keeps his feet on the ground.

The thing I really liked today was as at the end when we brought on ALL the subs 😂 I was like “yes, yes, yes, yes” great well played fab, minteh was 100% spent he had given everything, well done great choice……..then manure brought on Anthony and I laughed out loud as he I knew he would do nothing at all but all our new players had the capability to make something happen, and they did.

I also think of RDZ was still here he would have “stuck to the plan” and not made the subs which, I think, was the difference between winning and drawing or maybe even losing.

Such a great day!

Just heard Cantor's commentary for the winner. Goosebumps :ascarf:
Heard that on the way home, too. Very strong "Aguerooooooooooooooooo" vibes.

If ringtones were still a thing, I would have that for eternity!

Just got home and don’t know if it’s already been mentioned but the banter with Rio in the north was top drawer. Rio, Rio what’s the score, Rio what’s the score? 🤣
Fair play to him for engaging too, he seems like a top bloke
